Can plastic sheeting stop odor???

What i am asking, if i fit a filter into a grow box covered with above plastic sheets, will the PLASTIC SHEET let thro ODOR or not?

As far as i know, plastic allows gas exchange, but stops water/moisture.

wouldn't count on it it helps retrain pressure but your going to need a radical seal

FWIW I cut little pieces of the carbon sheets you can buy and stuck them over my fan...worked on the bagseeds I did but now the good genetics(blue hash & OG kush) are smelling my house right up

The material of the walls isn't really important.

What you want to do is to create a negative pressure in your cab.

If you have an inline fan of an adequate volumetric flow rate pulling through a carbon scrubber, air will not escape through the walls even if they are made from a porous material, and the smell will hopefully be filtered by the scrubber.

so to make sure i got this right: i have 1 big fan here which sucks air OUT of HPS and filter - that is the negative pressure your talking about??

So i should cut some SMALL holes at the bottom so that a little air gets IN the box and it gets sucked out under pressure, right?

1 powerful exhaust at the top
a decent sized intake at the bottom of the other side
and another smaller intake under the light where the lamp radiates its heat.

you will need to cover, mask, or neutralize the stench one way or another.
