how do you use your Radio Shack microScope ?

I agree that the RS scope is HARD to use..I cut off a bit and lay it on the table..

I took the little plastic piece on the bottom off then balance the scope on its corner. This way I can move the scope around by sliding it on the corner

I check the whole plant, upper and lower bud sites.

Yeah, you can't do it by holding it unless you have the hands of a brain surgeon. Just cut a leaf and place on white paper on a flat surface and examine it with the scope placed flat above.

i cradle a cola in my right hand and with the microscope in my left hand (im left handed), i touch the lens on the bud and use the pointer finger and thumb of my right hand to adjust the focus.

That works pretty well too, got one this winter. I use the RS "scope" for many things, like a door stop, to prop up the table... They're OK, but I just use my Leica dissecting scope. kind of hard to take to the field though..

yep, the pre-parkinson's you have

nah man, no one can hold it still, just try your best, or I use my macro lens on a tripod

also leaf can be different then bud from what I've seen, I do a top middle bottom check to make sure

I put a glass microscope slide on top of my sample and set the scope flat on the glass- works great.

hi,
i am trying to look trichs via Radio Shack Scopes,but i cant. my hands are shaking like a alcoholic when i try to use this microscope .to see trichs properly is almost impossible.
how do you use it ?

When I bought mine those bastards asked me what I was buying em for.. My girlfriend thought quick and said jewelery but damn i hate them at "the shack"

i check with the smoke reports here and look at what % amber/clear/cloudy would give me the most of what I'm looking for..

Otherwise i go for 60% cloudy the 20%+ clear and few amber/brown
