is anybody growing theese basic easily available genetics out in there own labotory, do they hermie or is it just a rumour? do they take haze plant long to finish,,like a 11 weeks flower cycle?

ive smoked alot of hydro erb and a good commercial non brick weed smoke still is in my opion just as good if not better then some of my buddies indoor that gets top dollar and many repeat customers.

im looking for first person expericne not what youve heard-

and reading so many strain reports it seems like theirs so much overpriced shite out there with a fancy name.

im not knocking the latest releases or praising all shwag im just sincerely interested in maybe grwoing out some of theese.

Im no expert but my first and third grows was bagseed. Both highend and lowend experience. I have some pics I could throw up of the third grow I believe wich was some good swag seeds but its nothing jaw dropping like the GHS grow im doing right now. IMO and from what ive seen unless you have unlimited resources to experiment and search for great strains your much better off buying from a reputable company.

11 weeks is nothing.. if you think hazes take 11 weeks, you're not growing the right haze.

10 to 12 weeks is what you should expect from mexicans, they're far enough from the equator.

yeah they do have a small tendency to hermie - maybe like 1 out of 6 will do it. So you have to pay attention. I do them outdoors @ 40 north. This time around there's a skunk looking one and some BIG ones...like 8ft and shit

There is some really good Mexican weed out there. Most that I've grown grown take a minimum of ten weeks. Mexican weed gets a bad name because of Mexican Brick - Mexibrick is cut early, dried the worst possible way to dry weed, and vacuum packed. Weed needs to mature to a certain point, most Mexibrick is not matured to what it should be, it's commercial & cut early. Alot of Mexibrick is cut in the field and dried in the sun, look over the harvest threads here and see how many threads recommend drying in the sun. Lastly, it's not trimmed properly and vacuum packed, all of those oils from the leaves is basically forced from the leaves and coats the buds.

Alot of Mexican weed, if grown & harvested properly, is very good weed.:jump:

raco, your grows are always top notch. just wish i was your best friend ;)

i agree to a point. there is still some out there, like some seriously well grown haze that, imo, will kick the ass of any bricked mexican. but, i would much rather buy some reggie than some kush.

if you find some amazingly potent seeded mids with a good high, grow it... i dont see why it wouldnt be much better grown to your standards. unless they cut it with pcp or something (which i dont think really ever happens).

I have grown out bag seed of many batches of average to good brick weed. The original starting point of the weed I don't know. I don' t think over all bag seed can compete with any top quality seed for potency but it can still be pretty good in my opinion. Even brick that all looks the same over here will vary greatly when grown out in my experience so you never really know till you grow it out . I have had many hermie and a few plants that took awfully long. I learned a lot but would never do it again

I have some mexican bagseed that came from an ounce of some shitty looking bud except that it actually had crystals and smelled like chronic, just looked TERRIBLE, so i ended up germing 50 seeds, and getting 23 females, out of those 23 I got TWO decent phenotypes that are very reminiscent of my crystal which is NL#5 crossed with White widow, very crystally and stinks of fuel of some sort but sweetly nice tight node and calyx formation, I put it RIGHT up there with my White Widow and crystal, it is just a matter of finding one of those RARE phenos that wont herm up on you in the 5th week and doesnt grow all spindly like.

Damn straight you can grow Mexican indoors - this is my Highland Oaxacan Gold indoors, which has produced exactly 65g of bud both times I've grown it - 12 week flower. Just on my third run now at four weeks - these pics are from the last grow a week before harvest:

And here it is outdoors in the UK at 53°N just over two weeks ago:
