when i was 16 i would walk the local river banks while fishing , i would find really rich patches of earth ranging from sandy islands to peatmoss lined riverrocks and gravel, along with the more dry stuff the futher away from the water you go.
the largest plants would be away from the waters edges, places about 6 feet about the high water mark, in giant holes with stuff that was found next to the river, like moss,sand,gravel,lots of fish whole and chopped up, all my nightcrawler castings fishing bait like shimp and salmon eggs, wild canadian goose poop, BAT GUABNO from under a car bridge a few miles away ,and an old bottle of vitam b1 plus yucca extract that i found in a stack of potters about three miles from my location also right along a very over grown river with no acess trails..
that herb was so free it wasnt funny, but the risk and trouble of trail blazin got to me
