Plant problems - beginner grow

Hey guys..

I have 8 skunk#1 and 1 power plant right now, about 1 week ago i changed the light from a 200w CFL to a 400w HPS and since then its all gone bad :\

Im having a hard time having a stable temperature and humidity, its about 29c and 45% RH now.

about 3 days, only twice with nutrients so far

i have a fan with air in and one with air out, and another inside the room providing airflow
Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ?

Is the fan blowing directly at plants?

What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water?

i have used som insect soap wich i mixed with water in a vaporizer wich might not have been in proper proportions..

I really hope you guys can help me out on this

at least tell me how serious the problem might be and how bad it looks

Have you been checking the pH of the nutrient solution and the runoff?

Just like dillhole said. I would say your PH is out of whack.

shouldnt the soil be able to get it down to the right level? i have checked the tap water once, it was about 7,8...
i do no longer have a PH meter, but thanks anyway

Yea 7 or 8 is ok but a little high. I have a similar problem. try working the nutes down to around 6.5

id shoot for 5.8 to 6.2 and look like a lil deficiency as well maybe N. but fix ph then worry.

i thought it might be deficiency as well, as i have only fed them once with nutrients, so yesterday i gave them some and i already think they look better.

does nutrients raise or lower the PH value of water?

Yes indeed it does. It normaly lowers the PH level so i think you may have solved your problem. PH was too high.

Nuts and other additives can deff mess with your ph. go get ur self a digital waterproof ph meter.

i think i have solved the mystery.

i have 3 small plants as well wich i only fed with clean water so far and they showed the same symptoms, so i guess the PH of the tap water was to high, so by adding nutrients i might have lowered it to a more proper level.

I had a PH/EC/TD combo meter wich i sold to a m8 who was growing hydro, but i guess i should regret that now :\.

Nothing is deficient, your ph is out of wack. The contorted leaf tips are a dead give away. Becuase your ph is out of range some of the elements are unavailable to the plant, this does not mean anything is deficient. Correct your ph problem and back off on the ferts, you have some burn going on. Good luck with your grow.
