how are they going to get dmx out of the crackhouse and into the octagon
This thread has really slowed down lately. Not even Kimbo fighting on TUF brought anyone around.
So the newest news is that Rampage isn't gonna fight Evans, he's gonna drop MMA because he's going into acting (playing BA Baracus in the remake movie of the "A Team"). Sounded pissed at Dana, like Dana was telling him what to say or something.
Came to see if anyone was gonna watch aoki hansen 3.....entrances starting now.
Guess not :/.
Anyone going to watch WEC 43 tomorrow night?
Anyonce catch 104 last night?
Rua was robbed and should be the new champion.
Sonnen's upset over Okami was a shocker (to me anyways).
Cain's performance was beastly again. Ben is no joke and Cain just walked through him.
The UFC and the MMA commisions really need to get some sort of strict training and certification going for judges of the sport. It seems like every event has atleast one questionable decision, often times more in the last year. Alot of these guys are incompetent at their jobs yet they keep getting assigned to high profile fights as one third of the decision maker should it go the distance. In order to do that though they also need to improve the scoring system by defining exactly how fights should be scored. As of now there is too much that the judges can decide by their own definition rather than according to a guideline. (submission offence -vs- defense, lazy and stale top control -vs- active bottom control, takedowns -vs- takedowns defended, etc, etc, etc) How to score any of those situations and many more have no definition in judging so it's left up to personal opinion of the judge and that's a big part of the reason why judging is so inconsistent sometimes too.
Incompetent judges + Muddy, undefined rules = shitty judging
