If you were to take a survey of everybody here, i'm pretty sure Blockhead would be ranked very high in the all-time favorites department. You have some genetics there that have produced some excellent plants..medicated a lot of people..and gotten a lot of recreational smokers very very high. Here are some comments of others over the years..check it out. ob

As well as the Strain Guide, here's some other comments I've collected about Blockhead. I'm looking forward to growing it soon.

peace, love, etc

Another great strain is the blockhead. The stone from that strain will have you sweating after a few bong loads.Very colorfull dense buds with that strain. Both those two strains are easy to grow with minimal care.Just a suggestion...LucyLeaf
I have lots of smoking experience with its mother. It has a spicy taste and an uplifting high that you really feel. – Barge 11/18/02

I have just grown out and harvested a few varietals. SOL Blockhead was amongst them. This strain is quite amazing...the pheno's I yielded were very, very heavy yielders...good pine/honey dominate taste/odour...etc. -- medrx_2, 7/3/2010
Blockhead from seeds direct, it’s easily as good as soma nycd or sensi jack herrer for 1/3 the price its strooooong pot. -- SKELETOR
Sweet tooth is the father; the mother is something called product19. Sweet tooth is more flavourful, sweeter, but blockhead is easily more potent. They grow similar but blockhead is less prone to mold, but the buds are just as hard. This has been a keeper since we started, and I 'm sure will continue to do so for a long time. The BH(blockhead) is very consistent and she isn't a real smeller in the room, though she puts up a bit of a stink while trimming. Sweet tooth is a much stinkier plant imo. But this purpling is unreal! -- TheHerbalCultivator
Blockhead is another badass indica. – jackgreen

I'm doing bonghits of blockhead right now, it’s pretty strong pot very good for the price. Blockhead is a pretty average sized strain without to much variation, only 2 pheno's and not even really that. They finished about 3 1/2 4 ft and grew pretty normally in veg and flower. – SKELETOR

Blockhead is the oposite when it comes to stone. It is very trippy pot that gets me to think about all sorts of things. It's pretty damn strong and is like no other pot I have smoked. Blockheads smell very weird during veg and do not smell all that much during flower. It is a very stealthy plant to grow. I grow under a 1000 watt bulb using LST. The blockheads averaged around 6.25 oz's/plant dried.
A little bit of spice and yes I have to agree w\the earthy aspect, hardly any cough and very much a creeper weed which can get you in trouble. Smoke too much and your way out there. Both are very enjoyable smokes that will make your friends think that you’re the best grower in the world. I don't know how many times i got the reaction "Damn this stuff is amazing". The BH high trips me out! – Afghanica

After 10 weeks 12/12 i decided it was time they had to come down. They could prolly gone another week, maybe 2, but i had the next grow waiting in the wings and it was "time to move on".
Blockhead is a very nice potent smoke indeed. I've got a high tolerance level and this stuff works everytime. It tastes kinda piney/lemony with a hint of musk. At the moment it’s a bit harsh and sometimes I can’t smoke a dam spliff for coughing. But it’s only just dried and only been in curing for a few days. Hopefully it will get smoother as time goes on -- sticky_buds

Blockhead is very nice to smoke, great flavour with a strong high/stone. The smell is mustyish with fruity/sweet undertones. She is also very easy to trim and to hang and almost every bud is dense regardless of how small. Most of the purpling is on the leaves, and not so much the buds. It is indeed strong stuff not suited for conversations.– TheHerbalCultivator

Ours is really potent, but we found it kinda made talking real difficult, its like some sort of hardcore narcotic drug and i always end up staring into space almost literally drooling Its great an all but it isn't really a strain i'll share with friends because all conversation just stops dead... It does make absolutely delicious tasting hash, which can lead to problems when i keep hotknifing more and more because of the great flavour and then forget about the potency till too late *stumble crash* -- seeyouaunty

if you look in the mirror and see me..you are smoking BLOCKHEAD

Cannacopia told me yesterday that the Blockhead that they got from Chimera (150 seeds) was being worked on now and should be released in roughly 4 months.

Must be back crosses. I am pretty sure the original P 19 mom would be almost impossible to find. Good luck. Peace GS

I must concur, BH is a killer herb;'specially if you run across a standout. We undertook tha Blue Sonja project several yrs ago, stabilizing a truly rare and worthy phenotype. Different from any other specimen smoked or seen, both online and in tha "real world", Blue Sonja has been worked to keep tha beautiful "head", encouraging an exceptionally unique and positive experience. A sativa of high caliber, individuals from several generations have been combined, providing many keepers .... Now, tha Tang Tang, an exaggerated sativa pheno is used in our newest offerings, crossed to several elites and giving consistent, reliable results ......

Re Steel Savage, how is the yield because the blockhead I have seen literally look like block colas and yours certainly appear to have a much more typical conical shape. Blockhead is notorious for its yield so how do these two hybrids compare? I don't mean to sound critical, just looking for more information.

Naw dude, be critical. It's tha only way to git real answers ..... Sonja don't yeied nearly as other phenos, as she's more of tha sativa spectrum, both in architecture and head. Sonja is really known fer tha high and a reason why you see more "block" phenos, we selected fer tha sick sativa effects. When combined however, it bolsters tha yield considerably. Searching tha GrindHouse help desk, you'll find not only hella info from myself 'bout tha gear, but also a grip of others stoked on it .....

I understand, I am just looking for something that can yield big for a sativa on a shorter flowering period. I love the happy hazy stone but I will be most likely running gear indoor so I am in quite a quandary there with the typical sativa stretch. As far as yield I hate to sound commercial but I am building a list of genetics to get my hands on and other than some of DJ Short's stuff, low yielders aren't making it. I will take a look around your forum for sure though.

OB, I'll ship 'bout 10 packs in next shipment (been laggin). That'll be it before tha next and final release of Sonja, slated fer late 2010 ..... Probably be on SBay an' go FAST ......
