Hi,

My first organic grow.

Im using PBP grow, Liquid Karma, Sweet and Cal Mag.

When I mix them together the PH of my nute mix drops from 6.4 to 3.7ish.

Is that normal?

I had to using 6 mill of PH up to get it back to 6.2.

No, it shouldn't be lowering the pH that much. Nutrients tend to have the effect of making the solution more acidic, typically good for cannabis plants with average tap water, but maybe you're adding too much. Are you sure you got your concentrations right?

you using R/O water? as R/O water drops PH worse then tap

Yes, PBP usually runs about 4 with my well water. I've used it many times like that with great success. Don't use pH up. Just use the PBP as directed on the product label. Of course, you MUST be using the proper organic soil mix...

LC’s Soiless Mix #1:
5 parts Canadian Spaghnam Peat or Coir or Pro-Moss
3 parts perlite
2 parts wormcastings or mushroom compost or home made compost
Powdered (NOT PELLETIZED) dolomite lime @ 2 tablespoons per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot of the soiless mix.
...Wal-Mart now sells worm castings.

Or, if you use Pro Mix or Sunshine Mix...
LC's Soiless Mix #2:
6 parts Pro Mix BX or HP / Sunshine Mix (any flavor from #1 up)
2 parts perlite
2 parts earthworm castings
Powdered (NOT PELLETIZED) dolomite lime @ 2 tablespoons per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot of the soiless mix.
If you use a 3 qt. saucepan as “parts” in the amounts given above, it equals about 1 cu. ft. of soiless mix and you can just dump in a cup of powdered dolomite lime.
But, a "part" can be anything from a tablespoon to a five gallon bucket. Just use the same item for all of the "parts".

^ this is true, if your "organic" is not working, you will see the leaf curl with the PH being off, then the other things that happen with PH being off

what's your plant saying? good or no? if you start having trouble, you can do a couple things:

-get some compost tea in there to add the microbes / and or add EWC
-try adding PBP first and see PH, PH being more important then additives

the best thing to do is make sure you got lime and microbes in the soil to buffer PH for you..

Yup, its normal. Its why I dislike using r.o. water! When i mix the pbp line with tap water(pH 7.4 150ppm) I get a solution around 5.8-6.0. If I use r.o., I get a solution pH of 3.5-4.0. Your tap is has such a low ppm level that it may as well be r.o. i would make sure you adjust the solution to 6.0-6.5 before watering it in otherwise your soil pH will keep sinking and cause alot of problems. 6mls of up sounds about right. watch those labels too, when mixed per their recommendation you may be feeding in the 2000-3000ppm range. i'd cut their recommendation in half. If you are using a soilless mix such as pro mix it is already buffered to about 6.2pH. Adding lime to the mix will buffer the low pH of your fert soltn. and hold your pH at an acceptable range.
It may still sink on you by the time you are 1-3 weeks into flower.
Having your solution pH'ed correctly at input will save alot of potential headaches. PBP is already broken down and useable by the plant, otherwise you wouldnt see dead on ppm readings when you mix it in solution. Look at the PBP line more like a hydro nutrient. the Pure blend line will not give you ppm readings like the pure blend pro. I see PBP as a marketed organic compromise made to be used in hydro with success. Keep the pH in check.

My soil mix is:

60 % Bio Terra Plus
30% Perlite
10 % Sea Soil
A 1/3 cup of powdered dolomite lime

Makes about 75 liters

You need humates in there to buffer the pH. Use 20% worm castings. And you should be using 2.5 cups of dolomite to 75 liters of soil mix.
