Hey All, :D

Came across this page and was wondeiring if anyone has any experience with one of these?

Cellphones don't have a long lifespan in my house. Washed one, dropped a few, lost one, etc... Anyone have better luck on that than I? LOL

Thanks!

Looks cool if it works. Most phones can also be backed up with a usb cable for it and a computer. I wonder if that thing sends it back to other phones ok, or only that same model. I only use phone companies now that have removable sim cards, If it's not lost you can just put it into another phone and it keeps your number and phonebook.

Careful, I had a SIM card get corroded (Ok, my fault for washing the phone) and scramble all the data. LOL They're limited to name and number/e-mail and only what, 250 entries? That sucked when I had notes and addresses and stuff with the entries in my phone.

I talked to a rep and it will transfer the entries to any phone on the list. No computer. Has anyone run into bad gadgets with the "For Dummies" logo on it? I can't imagine they'd let their name be put on a piece of crap.

Still would like to hear from someone that's used one first though. :D

Ok, so I've had a chance to use one of these with a number of different phones....

This thing ROCKS! I kid you not. The companies sales and marketing may be rickety but their product is sound and solid. Hands down, this is the most capable and easy to use phonebook backup device I've ever come across. (and I've used more than my share.)

Check to make sure the phones you want to use it with are compatible and then get yourself a unit. Sooooooo easy! :yoinks:

Interesting. Does the phone have to be powered on to read the memory? I have an old Razr 2 that took a shit, lost alot of numbers. If this works without the phone being powered I might just pick it up...

Sorry :( Phone has to power up. If you'd only snapped the screen off, it would have worked. It swaps from GSM to CDMA without issues as well. Whole ton of great features on this thing :D (Only 3 buttons)
