BudGood's Med Grow: A tale of two rooms

K

Kal-El

Yessir, except when you forget to check the drains for a bit and it floods! I had about 100 gallons of water in my basement when I woke up yesterday! :fsu:

Oh well, it's done with now. I'm looking forward to your new seedlines bro, just send me a PM here or on the Cabana when they're ready.

That blows!

I will hook you up with some testers for sure, no worries.
Looks like Oct/Nov.

Kal-El, sweet! Looking forward to it! :D

ddrew, thanks man! My soil room is plugging along nicely, I pulled the clones out of the bucket room, my first official failure. I've always done well in them, but 100+ temps and not being able to afford another centrifugal fan in time did them in. Oh well, live and learn. Thats what happens when $$$ is tight. :fsu:

Ok folks, heres the latest update, these pics are from the 1st of this month. The AK's are starting to mature and use the remainder of the nitrogen, it is fall in my growroom! :woohoo:

^^^^ This is a shot of the sativa blueberry phenos. They're getting too heavy, good thing there is a trellis! :yoinks:

^^^^ Some closeup's of the AK-47

^^^^ A far shot of the AK's

^^^^ A shot of the whole room. I put a Jack Herer bush in the room a few days prior, transplanted it from a 3 gallon pot to a 5, and put a layer of Dyna-Rok, a silica stone, on top of the soil.

^^^^ And some closeups of the sativa blueberry pheno. I'm really stoked to try this stuff, it has such a sweet smell to it! :smoke:

Looks good BudGood..subscribed.

I'm also considering varied methods, but I'll let you experiment and see what shakes out.
I already have enough mad scientist projects cooking for now. :)

Currently pondering the best way to grow soil less trees...

Anyways, looks like it's growing well !

If you really want to talk privately, get your post count up and PM me, you're only 40 posts or so awaY!

:fsu:

the best investment i ever made was a large wet vac. i've had too many floods 2 remember .

Yeah, I've owned 2, a smaller and a large one, since I bought my house 10 years ago. Every grower/homeowner should have one, IMHO. :) It's cool, shit happens. Just lifes way of keeping us on our toes! :dueling:

Thanks SoCoMMJ, I enjoy doing the mad scientist bit, lol. Now when you say soilless, do you mean like DWC or coco? I've grown some very large size plants in my biobucket setup, but if you want TREES, look into the Freedom buckets (aka Krusty buckets). Theres a thread here on IC with a lot of info on them, let me dig around and find it...

OK, latest update. I'd harvested 3 AK's and 1 Blueberry at day 49 of flowering, got about 6.5 z's from the 3 AK's, and an ounce and a duarter from the blueberry. I put the Jack Herer in the place of the harvested ones, and it has stretched to fill out the space nicely. I'm now harvesting 5 more AK's, they went 60 days and got extremely fat. I've been feeding water only since day 40 on these that I'm cutting now and the blueberries that are still in there, they used up the nutrient within the plant nicely, this should be even sweeter smoke than normal, and the buds swelled up nicely. I have 12 more blueberries, I'll probably inspect some trichs on those later after I finish cutting these AK's. Scissor hash is a beautiful thing! :smoke:

Oh, something I should mention, I have a few pair of the Fiskars spring loaded microtip scissors, and on one of them I lost the spring and the orange lock thingy. I bought a new pair today on a whim, and saw the customer service number on the back, so I called. They're (Fiskars) are sending me new springs and locks at no charge! :woohoo: I just figured they were effed, nice to know Fiskars not only stands behind their product, but are super cool about it as well! ;)

I'm taking pics with my iPhone, they'll have to do for now until I get a nicer camera. I'll be back with some pics after I finish harvesting and do all the growroom stuff I need to finish, should only be a few days of work! :yoinks:

First thing i do is pull out the orange lock thingy... seems like it always starts flopping around then hanging up when you are trying to cut.

I just lock them with the squishy tip guard thingy .
:smoker:

Im thinking some sort of 5 gallon bucket tree growing mad scientist system... im running aero racks now so im used to the water pumps, air pumps, hoses, sprayers, and other related hydro crap. Just a couple to set off in the corner of the flower room. A self contained 5 gallon bucket might be an idea to work out for portability. Just veg up a monster, then haul it off to the flower room.

They don't come with the squishy tip guard anymore, and I lost the old ones. You're not the first person who has told me to take off the locks, meh, they don't bother me though. :)

I've been using 5 gallon buckets to make leak proof small clone machines, I was considering making a flowering version, instead of a lid with 20 or so 2" neoprene collars, I'll use either a ready made 6" or 8" netpot-5 gal. lid combo, I have a few sitting around. Then I'll build the same PVC manifold with a few ezcloner sprayers and threaded ends with caps to allow easy cleaning. Maybe a filterbag for the pump. I've vegged clones up HUGE when I didn't take them out after they rooted, instead I added hydroponic veg nutrient. I'm sure it would work out great. Maybe we can both do 'em and get ideas from each other?

I'll be back later with a photo update, got more work to do down in the the basement... :Bolt:
