the sb will be more frostie than bubba .

i like og so i would say stick with OG.

If you like bubba then you can pick the SB...

I suppose I don't understand where SourBubble and OGKush are both coming from, other than that they're both extremely potent and are supposed to have very good flavour...

Is there a more Sativa leaning vs a more Indica leaning between the 2 of these? And how else do they vary...? Like flavour differences, potency variation, growth, yield or anything else you can think of...I don't know

OG Kush is a backcross of the Key '91 Chemdawg cut. Chemdawg seems to be todays holy grail. Not only does it make up all of og kush, but Sour Diesel is [Chemdawg x Mass Super Skunk] - To increase yields and increase the sativa characteristics within chemdawg.

Bubba kush actually tastes similar to OG kush and chemdawg although a little different imo. I believe it originated from an amazing Afghanistan IBL that was a cut that the famous "LA Affie" was derived from. I'm not cretain but I feel the bubblegum pheno has a similar or related heritage. But this is only speculation. The LA Affie cut was said to have sold for an amazing $20,000. I believe it was Oregonkid who one of the releasers of Bubba Kush, if I remember correctly.

Overall, Both OG and bubba / sour bubble are amazing in high and taste. If you want more of an indica dominant smoke go with the sourbubble or bubba kush, if you want a similar taste with a more balanced sativa-indica high, with great clear headed qualities go for the OG Kush. Either way its a win win.

btw, I dunno if I explicitly said this. But it is said that SourBubble is a cut of Bubba Kush and not from a Bubble Gum mother.

However, I can confirm that when Sour Bubble grows it looks Identical to DNA's L.A. Confidential, which also uses the LA Affie. Seriously, almost absolutely identical.

Or maybe Bubba Kush was derived from the same rare BubbleGum pheno and crossed with a top end kush. Dunno
The names both start with Bubb** .

um...i'm not so sure... but here's some other info...

Chemdawg Crosses:
• 'OG Kush' (the original cut) came from an s1 from in a bag of '91 Chemdawg in the Lake Tahoe area in 1996.
• 'Sour Diesel' aka ECSD came from an accidental cross of ('91 Chemdawg x Mass Super Skunk/NL)x DNL after the DNL hermed and seeded the room. The DNL's lineage is NL/Shiva x Hawaiian.
• Original Diesel' (also known as Diesel #1, Headband, Daywrecker Diesel, Underdawg) came from a cross of '91 Chemdawg x (Mass Super Skunk x Sensi's Northern Lights) done by a guy known as ‘weasel’.

also, i'm not sure if orgnkid and thadocta are the same people but try searching for his threads. if i remember thadocta came around very early on with knowledge of bubba and all of its pheno's, a few of which i think orgnkid had.

can't wait till something different pops up...it just seems peeps got stuck on the dawg and og wagon...including myself that is.

oh yeah, bubba and og are vastly different in my eyes. not very similar at all if you want my opinion. maybe the sedative head pounding high is on par between them.
the bubba is slight chocolately, earthly, with greasy dirty floral oils, maybe coffee bean oils but... and the og is a lemon funk, spilled gas fumes maybe hints of citrus ba-dunka-dunk. hahaha im stoned.

Thanks for the very helpful information. Ya, I agree bubba does have a different taste, but I think its that Coffee Bean smell/taste that remotely reminds me of the chemdawg coffee bean smelling pheno.

i wasn't aware there was a coffee bean smelling pheno of chemdawg! i'm waaay out of the loop, hehe. i'm only good at regurgitating info. which by the way i remember hearing the la affie DNA has is an old afghani strain but not bubba. maybe all these strains are related to a pheno of deep chunk?

Got some Sourbubble just arrived and hearing all this makes me wonder about crossing my Sourbubble with my ECSD. I bred a swag of ECSD beans a while back and the f2's turned out huge elongated eggs that I haven't tried yet. Perhaps the ECSD could take the cross back into a more OG Kush sort of direction?!

Kidding, not really though, it's all just a name game and it really depends on individual preferences. Like me personally I think OG Kush, even at it's highest echelon, isn't anything special to me and has a kush high/taste that I don't prefer and find somewhat bland. Although depending on the BX and pheno; I absolutely love the Sour Bubble, but hey that's just me.

Interesting. I've seen others say the same thing. The sourbubble bx3 x bx4 my friend started up was male unfortunately.. I'm sure he will be popping some more in the near future, can't wait to try it.

Have you by chance, had the ability to try straight Key 91 Chemdawg, or Chemdawg D / Chemdawg 4?

OG Kush is supposedly a backcross of the Key 91 Chemdawg, which seems to be stronger than the OG alone. Just curious if you have any feedback on the potency and high of chemdawg vs sourbubble.

Personally I find the chemdawg high less "bland" although I enjoy the shit out of OG Kush.

The branchier phenos tend to be the best yielders and they all taste really good but some are a lot more potent than others. Actually the mix of the 3 and 4 bx's have more 4's by about 2:1 than the 3's still in there. Some find purpler phenos but my clone only purples if its kinda cold or if taken pretty late. Find a good mom of this one and you really have something better than the OG Kush that was originally derived from BOG genetics anyways. BOG

sourbubble 4...doing it now.

oaksterdam og kush now..

skywalker og kush now..


so far..the sour bubble takes a full 65 days...and the smell is tart but not like the fuel lemon og smell.


the oaksterdam og is smaller..branches more..but the smell is classic og.

my fav tho is this skywalker tho..blueberry pancakes x lemons dunked in diesal.

the fastest finisher and most impressive looking with great yield...
