Hey Kanye - Sorry man I been in a daze since the LSD cropped!! She spits out the THc content she says she does but you know how some things work in moderation with each other??? This much THC just didn't do it for me.

Dont get me wrong the bud is potent but theres just as potent and nicer smoking buds out there. All in all I'm quite disappointed, this was a bitch to grow....she stretched, she snapped....two didnt finish. The read up got me sucked in and the grow spat me out in lumps.

I'm not to up on the different looks between the sativa and indica....I've just been experimenting with a few strains to find one i like.

Show us some more pics and give us an update if you will.

I've currently got 4 opium nearly five weeks from seed. will flip her soon and post a new thread. I highly recomend you get your hands on some opium seeds, I think you will enjoy them.

MAXIM - Firstly ensure you have Females and not Males. Then leave it a week or so. When they start to come they'll come and they'll come big and they will ooooozzzzeeeee!!!

Hi, just got finished reading your thread. Pretty interesting, with some trials and tribulations ..
First off, the strain is no Bitch to grow, very simple nice yielding stinky dense flowers .. High top notch, taste fruity.
As Ive been reading through your thread Ive been noticing some problems ..
one that you have already covered is the feeding rates .. Every plant you had was constantly stressed from soil intoxification, also from the high PPM the pressure around the roots changed and the nute uptake also suffered .. poor plants couldnt even get to there potential. Then within flower you wanted to train them, more of a mistake then people would think. All you should have done was bend them away at an angle from the lights so they wouldnt have scorched.
I also see you have a homebox ??xl?? well a better light would be a 600w, the 400w are good for the homebox S. you want about 7500 lumens per sqaure foot, more is unbeneficial with your 400w your getting in that huge space between 2500 and 3000 lumens. Now also air circulation and exchange is very important. what are your fans cfm ratings?
In my opinion your the reason the plants didnt come to par. Which isnt a problem(everyone has to learn, by your name i thought you were the chosen one), but i wouldnt say the plants are a bitch to grow, mine are finished flowering after 7-8 weeks (the LSD from Barneys) and i could not complain, I have a plant almost finished at day 51 today. I would advise you to grow this strain again as soon as you have your skills dialed in.
Dont forget flush your medium once a month to avoid soil intoxification, VERY IMPORTANT. And when you start feeding, start at 10% and work your way up to 50% strength gradually.

If I may interrupt an interesting thread with a question about your grow tent please MasterGrower?

we're considering a 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m tent atm and wondered about problems with heat, I'm unsure if you use an intake too?
personally I'd like to run a 600w in ours but don't want to create problems for myself. only a RVK125 A1/CF240 or RVK150 A1/CF360 extractor was planned?

can I ask what size your tent is and what extractor and inlet fans you use please friend?

Regarding your LSD grow, I've never grown it out myself but will have to give it a spin, you have some interesting phenotypes to play with there

hope it smokes as good as it looks

Syze - Firstly to point the finger is rude....not appreciated at all. My "Alias" is just that, one that bares no resembelance to me...in 3 months or so so ill change it to shittygrower!!!

As I pointed out and you so kindly reiterated I fucked up the nute regime. I fed the recomended and hey it went tits.
As for training in flower where in the below statement does it say these bitches stretch over 1.5 metres??

It didn't...because of my overfeed the plants were bound to break when trying to move them from the light in my 1.2x1.2x2m tent (you know about rigid cell walls and all that genius) .....four friggin animals they were!!!

As for air circulation and CFM's.....I don't know. I run 16" oscilating on sleep mode all day and all night to circulate internally. I run extraction to keep temps as steady as I can (77-82F).

I've tweeked all of my grows since the first one and the one before I pulled out a beautiful Opium (and if you think the lsd was screwed!!!! this was in a 3 litre pot alongside 15 other plants with no training given).

This is a new strain I have tried to see if it is one that suits my space and my equipment......it isn't....it was a bitch under the circumstances. I've found one strain that will grow unhindered and untrained making for minimal work. Because at the end of the day -syze- we all have our own motives.

Don't take this the wrong way...just learn how to constructively critisize someone arsehole.....everything you said I'd already said.

Esskie - Excuse my rant above but hey. You wont have problems with your temps just use your extraction enough i suppose. I use a fan that clears 350cbm/hour and its rigged to a dimmer switch on low. I simply have a length of ducting running from an air source and the power of the extraction brings in the fresh air.

Like I said before I found it a bitch to grow...too much work (although lessons were learned which is invaluable).

I am highly optimistic about my next grow and feel that this will lead me onto to reach MY GOAL.

Yeah, I've encountered this problem from the beginning of my growing my own this year.
Every plant I have grown out so far has been over six foot tall.
I believe it is due to the Sativa influences in any strain.
I also believe it is due to my vegging my plants until I see the leaf nodes begin to alternate.
I'm growing inside a standard clothing closet (2.5ft x 6ft x 8ft)
I have two 400 watt HPS lights covering the entire space.
The first time I grew, I had major heat problems which caused the plant to grow a ton of leaves on the buds as well as prolonged the length of finish time beyond what was stated.
The plant went 14 weeks and I believe I harvested it early even at that length of time.

I have learned a lot since February 2009, I also have solved some problems and the plants I have growing today are doing great.
I am still growing some pure Sativas as well as a short flowering Indica.

I have found that Sativas are not good for growing in confined spaces.
I am attempting to cross my Sativas with an Indica to shorten the flower time as well as the height issue.
I have a few seedlings from my first cross growing today, time will tell if it is successful.

Yeah, you take this a little to personally, I have complete opposite results of yours and they are marvelous .. stretch 1.5 meters ?? what it states under optimum conditions and what environment you give it are 2 diff scenarios .. yeah your screwed nute crap had an extreme access of nitrogen and there came your stretching and slow bud development -Genius- .. what an alias for such a -shittygrower- .. like -you- said, would suit you better .. is that better .. now id like to see your next post .. lighten up

That's good to hear about not having any excessive heat issues that an extractor, and possibly an intake fan, can't cure in that size of tent.
Suppose we won't really know until it's in place ready to take plants, a few days dialling the fan duration/speed etc to keep everything as consistent as poss during light and dark periods.

How has your other pheno turned out btw?, the one with denser buds and you thought might finish a wee bit quicker, pheno-2?

I didn't think in my last post about not having grown LSD, I haven't but have done LifeSaver which stretched more than I'd expected but is worth doing

You are correct about sativa doing better with plenty space, even if LST is used the long running buds that fill the branches will still need area (as opposed to height)
Have you ever thought about either germinating them or placing clones into 12/12 as soon as they've rooted?, quite a lot of sat growers use this technique to avoid creating monsters lol

Esskie - trial and error my firend...we get there in the end!!

One plant was really smothered in THC and the other was more of a planty bud.

The overall smoke of both different phenos didn't really do it for me. (Thats just a personal opinion). I'm glad I grew it to have sampled it but never again.

I'm not to up on the different growth rates of sativas/indicas.....I should probably read but all i want is two strains that I know how they grow....and to get that......
