Help ID'ing a preflower

here's a helpful hint I've seen, if you have multiple plants, the females will show first. the males you can see multiple balls if you look further up the plant in the top all bunched up, pull back the baby leaves to see
what you circled I can't even see. doesn't even look like a ball to me. if I had to guess looks more spear so I would say female. just wait a day or two more and you'll know for sure

Nice thanks guys! I think I have ID'd a few females already then 
Just hit the flower button a few minutes ago. Most of them are just one little thing that looks kind of like a paintbrush and one is like a really small ball. None of them have more than one so I'm hoping for the best.

im going through the same thing and have the same type of preflower buds showing aswell. there are no pistils showing yet but the damned bud that is there is so elongated that it seems it must be.
mine are about a foot tall and im at the 8th or so node, but still nothing. i really want to know because i want to top them so i can take a massive amount of clones since its my mom plant(s)

I can never tell for sure with pre-flowers. I guess wrong about as often as I guess right. Simplest solution, just wait a day or two and you will soon see either white hairs or footballs. Why jump the gun and kill what might turn out to be a female when you're not entirely sure? Be patient.
And in my experience, males almost always show themselves before females. So, most of the time, my males are all chopped before I'm 100% sure about the females.
