ok i know 5.9 is about right for hydro but, i have noticed if i adjust to 5.9 the nutes will natrually raise back to 6.3 and stabilaize, and not go any higher....

is this bad?

i fill my 55 gal res all the way with full stregeth nutes ....

then let the water drop and everything stays stable, the EC stays at 2.2 dosn't raise or lower. and my ph steady at 6.3 everything is growing good, looking great plants defiantly not complaining but i wanted to make sure....

i just fill the res to 55 gallons and let it drop steady until its down to 25 gallons (takes about a week) then drain and refill with fresh nutes i have stopped messing with the ph all together

i use tap in a 70gal with gh or an nutes. i initially drop my ph pretty low to 5.3 and after 3-4 days it rises up to 6.2-6.3 but never over. usually i'll top off at this time but sometimes i let it go a week before i top and the ph will never go above 6.3

This is bad :yoinks: Why are you dumping half of your resivoir? Coin down the tubes. Waste not want not. You don't have to top with water and run it longer (or you can either way works), just dial the appropriate amount in. Next time fill your resivoir 3/4 of the way and you will only have to dump 1/4 after the week is over. Savings already! ring ring, operater can you dial this in for me? get to dialing

a ph drift is good. lets different nutes assimilate @ the ph which gets them into plant as ions.

gh nutes usually stabilize @ around 6.0-6.3.

if plants are happy, let it be...

enjoy your garden!
