Is Chemdog the same as Chem/Dawg?

Can anyone tell me if chemdog is the strain chem/dawg?
(Cannabible #2, Chem page 46, Dawg page 52). A few years ago, a local breeder developed a strain he called Scientist. It was a cross of dawg crossed back with NYC Diesel. Scientist was an amazingly strong strain. It was submitted in 2005 to one of Marc Emery's "The Contest" features for PotTV. Marc claimed the sample was tainted with DMT and disqualified the entry. IMO they freaked because it was so potent. Marc, while not testing it himself claimed that the trichomes were "too uniform" not to be adulterated.

I've read that nyc diesel has chem/dawg/dog genetics. So, am I talking about different strains here?? Any clarification is much appreciated!

Yep , same thing . Cannabible 2 was misinformed , Chemdog is Chemdawg no matter whether it's organic or not .

Thanks joebean91! I'm really interested in this strain. I see lots of Chemdog cross beans for sale, but does Reservoir or anyone carry the original chemdog beans? I've been to the Seed Botique site but haven't seen them.

You should check out the thread Chemdawg 101 , it's a sticky in the flower pix subforum . I'm not sure what you mean by original Chemdog beans , those have mostly all been grown out and are now clones such as the Chem '91 , D , and 4 . Reservior and Topdawg have both done solid work on the Chem line . Reservior I believe is working on a Chemdog IBL , check his forum for more information . In the mean time I would suggest grabbing a decent chem cross , it's not hard to find a good Chem dom. pheno .

Good info indeed, thanks joebean91! I'll be sure to read the thread. I'm looking for a diesel cross, but don't know what it's called. I see Chemdog D, is that it. Are there any crosses anyone can recommend?

Any ideas about the story I have read a few times that Chemdogs original bagseed itself came from a cross of Colorado strains, Dogbud and Chem....... ?
