Well folks, here we go with a further update on the Zombie Virus Aussie spring grow. The plants have been in the ground for 2 weeks now and are commencing the flowering stretch. Thankfully temps have been quite mild with only a few days less than 5C temp. Day temps are now about 18C to 24C so growth is getting quicker.
You will see in the pics that the stem girth looks like a friggin trunk!! Plenty of food going to the factory upstairs.
Plants are still covered in red dust from the dust storm last week, but that is not an issue. Day length outside is 12/12 so flowering should go through with an expected finish in early November, before day length gets too long to sustain flowering.

I think so Doc. The youngsters here don't realise the importance of stem girth in a strain. Good breeding will allow a good grower to get trunk like stems - which carries all the nutrients to the forming buds. More food - ergo - more buds.
I am so impressed with this strain. It is handling the cold spring nights like a trooper, and that is essential for a spring flowering. With the weather warming up, I expect this to boom over the next 4 weeks.
It is a real privilege to have these genetics. So guys, go to OGA site and order some.

What's the earliest anybody has chopped ZV? I'm at day 53 in flower and the "early bird" pheno is already mostly cloudy. I recon the buds will fill out a little more in the next few weeks but it looks smoke-able atm.

earliest was day 49 after 60 day veg...definately worth wait till 60 days though

Yea iv been offline for a while taken care of other things but im 20 days into flower new harvest ZV, Moroccan Daze, Sour Puss, Pollen Chuck, Satori, BB, Free Leonard, ZV x FL and a few others other half of room all cheese, free Leonard, c99xbb, zombie and pollen chuck week 4-5 flower.....like i said just getting back online so photos will follow now that im back in swing things... on a side note this will be third show with CNS line loving the bloon and flower still using foxfarm for grow but i dont fertilize heavy as i like a slow 60day veg for chrachter and toopping

Here are a few of one of my zombies in week 4. Starting to smell so fruity its hard to stop smelling it. Cant wait.
