That should do it, they're jus hungry. As you can see each plant has it's own needs as far as food, so don't be afraid to feed accordingly. Some plants will really eat alot, feed em! it pays off in spades at the end with the yeild. Good luck! BC
3 gallon pots are plenty big. Over-watering is probably the problem. If you make at least 1/3 of your mix out of coco coir, this won't ever happen again. The only other thing I would think could be at fault would be an unhealthy micro-herd, but you haven't posted enough details of your grow to let us know on that one way or another.
Hey slo, there are some threads in the general gardening forum that require your input.
But don't post there just to hit 50.
I will check it out..there is the one about using piss for tomatoes. What are your thoughts?
Anyone can comment.
I dont PH anything, i did for the first 2 weeks, but after reading some of Burn1's info i've stoped and its been for the better..did your friend stick to the correct PH?
What details would you like to know? Being this is my first grow, im still in a learning curve so dont know how helpful my answers would be, but ask away!
I think my bigest problem is, since i've never growen anything i have trouble interperting what the plant is telling me and OVER think everything. I guess its just like anything else, it will come with time. Atleast i can say i found a hobby that i truely enjoy! Thanks for the tip on the coco...
Slo...
No problem, coco coir is amazing stuff, I can't stop endorsing the stuff.... Just be sure to flush it when you get it. I get mine at the pet store, it's Zoo Med's "Eco Earth". The 3 packs are the best deal, but you can buy coir online for a LOT cheaper. The advantage of the pet store is anonymity, but online is a great deal.
As far as what details we need:
1) What is your soil mix? How is it prepared? Do you let it sit for a while before using it?
2) Do you use compost tea?
3) What is your lighting situation?
4) Do you use what with chlorine or chloramine?
5) How often do you water?
6) Do you feed them anything or is the soil full of food? Or both?
Congrats on finding a great hobby. I love growing too, it's addictive. I don't ever want to stop.
don't feed until you have it figured out. PM habeeb maybe? he is quite the plant nurse.
Most likely the PH. I used that FFoceanfloor before and had problems with it. It is just hype to collect 20.00 per bag. The Oyster shells don´t seem to do the trick. Or something. I had better luck with it adding Dolomite lime and EWC and recycling it.

FFOF works jus fine, I've used it off and on for 10 years now. Yer plants did well in it until now. The nutrients in it only last so long though, so you have to feed, jus like any other soil. That's the biggest problem I've seen folks have with FFOF. They try and grow big plants in small pots and don't feed em anything, or very little. I have no problems pulling 3-4 oz's per plant with it. If I can do it, anyone else can do it too. lol.......... Now that you have transplanted you shouldn't need much for a lil while. When ya do start feeding again, I'd use the tea and the bloom nutes. Good luck! BC
I'm no FF fan, but there is no reason to assume it is any different from any other rich soil. critics like me need to be careful not to overstate the case.
As far as I know monster plants in small pots never or rarely works. i'm double jumping for joy now that I found office trashcans that will fit my cab. My volume is going up by a factor of a whole fucking lot.
they actually look very hungry to me - possibly phosphorous and other deficiancies too.
seaweed may be a good start followed by repotting.
they are those plain black squarish plastic indoor trash cans. according to the bottom, rubbermaid product 2956.
I have it cut down to 7 1/4 inches tall, 7.5 times 11.5 inches at the base. I was working with 8 inch pots. They will be filled to the brim as I won't be topdressing or feeding anything but fish hydrolysate. I will use two, and each canopy is about 1 square foot due to space lost when I made my cab stealthy. the largest size pot that works now is an 8" pot.
I use rubbermaid tubs as per red_greenry's design, with some modifications I made. It's called the "Super Simple Stacker". I'm hoping to make one soon with a photographer friend and we can do a step by step. no promises.
