What's new

So what "additives/enhancements" are tried and true?

At the moment I'm using 50/50 FFOF/LW for soil. GH Floranova grow + bloom. I love the results so far. I know there's TONS of nutrient "enhancement" products out there. Koolbloom, Floralicious, etc.

What consistently seems to make enough difference to warrant the cost?

Molasses :)
I'm midway through my first run with Canna Boost, and it's amazing so far.
Vermi T is great!
I've heard great things about Shooting Powder, so I bought a box, but I haven't used any yet - starting in a couple of days.

Your going to get a million answers to that question. There are as many ways to grow as there are growers. Everyone has an opinion based on there knowledge and experience so here's mine. I use florolicious plus and gh kbloom, superthrive. Constantly trying new stuff as I go. Just added humboldts flower hardener n bushmaster is next. Constant experimentation. Gotta try it out if it makes a noticable difference I'll use it again. Tried and true "supplement" co2 you'll notice a difference there.

I have heard great things about bushmaster in terms of regarding stretch during flower, but its to expensive for me for the benefit

Be careful with Bushmaster, the plants will STOP growing when you spray them, like immediately. No stretch at all.

For additives, I've consistently used:

Fat flower (good, and cheap)
Gravity (Expensive, but foliar it's 2ml per gallon or something)
Molasses, 15ml per gallon in weeks 3-7
Purple Maxx, also foliar
Big Bud (seems ok, haven't tried it by itself yet)
Shooting powder (I liked it but very $$$ if you need a lot)

Lots of folks like the Canna Pk13/14 stuff too, but I havent tried it yet so I'll let them chime in.

Yeah, I've been steered away from bushmaster because it can effect the quality of the finished product.

Fat flower looks interesting - there are tons of boosters like it: MOAB, Ton O' Bud, Big Bud (same general idea), Top Booster, Pure Flowers (supposedly really cheap - 1 tsp makes 5 gallons), or even Beastie Bloomz.

Make sure its blackstrap molasseses, and as far as koolbloom I have never tried the powder but, the liquid, Ive used it, and I really dont think it does much if the other nutrients you use are strong enough its just en extra boost of 0-10-10 because the ingredients are Derived from: Magnesium Phosphate, Potassium
Phosphate, Potassium Sulphate.

For a hydro grower:

Liquid Karma or Floralicious Plus from start until flush
Cannazym or Hygrozyme from start until flush
PK 13/14 or Liquid Kool Bloom in early flower
And dry Kool Bloom as a hardener before flush.

It was recommended by a freind so I think I will follow wat he tells me.

As far as molasses can I get at walmart or home depot?

Also using the floranova bloom+grow. Im looking for other nutes, not for increased yield just something that helps grow healthy plants?

I like molasses seems to perk up the ladies and is cheap and readily available. Just started using fish emulsions, it seems to be working just fine. And have the 3 part general hydroponics the vegative, flower, and micro nutrients. Kinda like to mix one of the gh with the molasses and fish emulsions, works for me anyways. And all are very afordable.
