Why do they not add on more 6" exhaust sleeves for the 4x8??

When you only have 2 to work with, it would be hard to work out ventilation in that big of a tent without cutting more holes yourself.

Has anyone put 3 600s or 2 1000s in a 4x8 sun hut, and how did you setup your ventilation?

I think they have more then 2, the 4x4 has 3 up high and 2 down low
I would guess there are at least 6, 1 on each side and 1 in each back corner up high and 2 more down low on each side.
You could do a run thru from one side to the other for the lights and have 2 filters for the hut and run AC into the lower ones.
That should give you enough airflow to keep the temps in check.
I think the thing about 2 flanges is a typo from the older style, the new ones don't have flanges at all, they have fabric tubes,
I'm not sure what name they go by.

So everyone will know what product and price you are talking about,
http://www.horticulturesource.com/g...4500/?osCsid=6e3426c0c93051cc4923338e2d010c71
$190 + $35 shipping (That's the cheapest they offer)= $225

This place has it for $180, but they charge $60 for shipping, http://www.growlightexpress.com/shopping-cart/

This place is $212 including shipping, http://stepsaverproducts.com/product.sc?productId=2089&categoryId=1

Are these sites for the NEW tent? I believe what they are advertising on horticulturesource is the 2007 model of the tent? Or am i misunderstanding? Thanks for the links though bro.

I'ts the cheapest I've found on the net, BUT there's a stealth issue I am concerned about. The address WILL be on the box that they ship it in, along with the website address. However I did find the sunhut on ebay for a little over 200 bucks. If you type in sunhut only 1 will pop up and its the 4x8. If you type in "metal" and check the "item and description box" a few more will pop up. I hope this can be of some use because security is the NUMBER ONE PRIORITY in this thing that we all love.

PEACE LUV AND BUDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again 40amps for this thread. I got my Sun Hut Silver XL yesterday!! Very impressed with the design- thick fabric, heavy duty zippers, access panels on every side, draw string cinches for all the openings. Can't wait to get up and running!!

festivus where did you order yours? I am having a really hard time finding and asking for this online. Did yours come with the zippered backdoor?

40amps, "The exciting thing for me was getting to see that he had the new Sun Huts in his big book that I did not even know had come out yet" - do you know what "big book" that was? Was it the NGW catalog?

The NGW 2009 2nd edition pdf from their website still lists the 1st rev silvers, unlike the website itself. Based on two different correspondences today, I think, but am not sure, that even the NGW reps themselves are a little confused.

I don't know CS but if I go back anytime soon I will ask. Try to rarely go in my state and sure as hell don't call.

It was like 4 inches thick and had tons of stuff in it eco plus chillers fans etc.

Phew! Setting that up was a chore! Probably should have waited to smoke the bowl until after...

The directions say you need 2 people to set it up, and that would have certainly been easier. Kinda defeats the idea of nobody knowing though. The tent is great other than the 4 pin holes at the corners of each vent hole (and the 2 small rips I made trying to do this by myself). The directions could have been in more detail, but then I've never been good following directions anyway.

I got mine from Ohana Greeenhouse & Supply. They rep NGW as well as Sun Hut. It looks like the newest version. They wanted to sell me a HydroHut for $100 more (NO WAY).

At the beginning of this thread, 40Amps lists the manufacturer's website. It has a "find local store" feature. I highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to grow indoors. Thanks again 40Amps!

Heh yea I did two of them a lone and they seem to take about 40 minutes a piece. It's always getting the damn tent on the skeleton with these tents.

for anyone who has the 4x8....how big is the box that the tent actually came in? And did it come in a single box, or more than one? Thanks in advance.

That is the only thing turning me off from it. :(
I really wish it actually was 2x4.

I was ready to buy one but when I measured the floor model I was super dissappointed that it was bigger than 2x4x7. It ended up being 3 inches to big for my closet!!

Went DIY instead and made a 2.5x3x5 cab, Woulda had a sale if it were the size as advertised.

But yeah the hydro shpp said all SH tents are described by the tray they fit inside them.

The sizes were exactly why my hydro guy said he started carrying the Growlabs in store.

Some of you guys should complain may be they will change it with some input. I am just lucky I can dedicate a whole room to it in my house so fitting 2 sometime 3 tents in the house I rent is no problem. Currently anyways

if you could get the Hydro Hut for the same price as the Sun Hut would you go for it? In other words, is the Sun Hut better than the Hydro But becasue the Hydro Hut is more expensive? Just curious?

And 40Amps...do you have any personal experience with the Hydro Hut, verses the Sun Hut?

Only thing I can say is check the weight of the tents to compare quality of materials. No growing experience with that one.
