he's lucky it wasn't LEO taking down his crop. Causing intentional bodily injury to a cop brings down a lot of heat. just plain stupid. Booby traps make us all look like violent criminals. this is exactly how they would like to portray us.

I was reading about a major garden takedown in Maine this week... they specifically mentioned that no booby traps were found. The drama! Imagine the drama if they had found them. This is one of the primary ways in which the bogus and criminal "drug war" is justified. And its one of the reasons that it can be repackaged by the media and sold to us as a captivating news product.

The non-violent nature of marijuana, when compared to alcohol and hard drugs, is one of the main things working politically in its favor. Booby traps, at the very least, are counterproductive in this respect.

You have some good points but im talking bout a small backyard grow 2 plants, not some major garden operation also were im from leo knock on your door before they attempt to search for weed it is decriminalised in my state so you can grow upto 9 plants without going to jail just a small fine in court without criminal conviction and if leo ever did arrive im sure they would be warned about the fish hooks and razor blades...

Ps I have never set traps myself and have/will never need 2...

I would find out where they are landing. Then spray paint RIPPER in orange on both sides of the truck. Dump brake fluid all over the paint. put a candle in the tail pipe. Pop a few tires and slip back into the woods.

Or you could get some cable and cable clamps. Clamp one end of the cable to his U-joint on the drive shaft. (Use double cable clamps) Then run that cable thru his brake lines,exhaust pipes, wiring harness, transmission lines, and what ever else you can wrape it around. Then clamp that end back to the drive shaft.

When the ripper puts his truck into drive and takes off. The cable will wrap around the driveline and pull everything into the driveline. It will FSU.

You could follow him home and leave a few notes in his mailbox. Give him some paranoid feeling.

This morning I found a ciggy filter next to my greenhouse which is placed in our backyard. I don't smoke tobacco and I am the only one who goes and checks them. Unfortunately, the ciggy was smoked till the end so I couldn't see the brand (my landlord only smokes a certain brand.)
I am wondering how did that came about. Thing is the plants already reek and I am covering and uncovering them daily. I am afraid that the noise attracted some peoples attention.. Hoping for the best here!

That depends on if it's a riper or a burglar and if the plants are in your own back yard or on some other property, if it’s medical. I personally would rush the guy yelling GET ON THE GROUND repeatedly just like leo and maybe with a bright flash light, id zip tie the fucker if he wanted to attack me or not probably just if he didn’t run away or leave the property. Go cobra commando on those rippers, man up and put 'em on the ground if they want to rush past or don’t leave, the zip ties are to protect the crooks and myself while waiting on police response both military and police/swat use zip ties. If he got on the ground I'd zip tie 'em and call the police asap or have already called the police, have him hauled off to the poky.

Any and all evidence left behind should be regarded cause it could be used against you in court, if you wound someone or leave them out their to die then it’s a huge problem and they will likely take prints or get a detective looking into things or if it doesn’t look like south American growers (leave behind some canned menudo and some hot sauce) they might print anyways thinking it’s a common criminal w/a back round. If you harm or kill a federal agent or worker think of the consequences, or don’t ant just plant 4 times what you plan on harvesting. If you get just ¼ of that all is well any better odds and it’s a much better year, plan on more plots not harming others to save the few you had staked out.

Booby traps are nothing to armed groups of drug hustlers tending thousands of plants in the national forests, we should pull out national guard out of conflict zones and protect the forests and parkland for Americans to enjoy and pass on to generations. The pollution and disrespect to out land would make many an Indian cry -like on wayne’s world. I believe that booby traps are a bad thing but they are not the only idea giving marijuana growing a bad rep, the feds had said the thousands of plants are harvested and sold to fuel the blood shed south of the border.

Actually i have been ripped some years ago....my mistake as the spot i chose was not the best, so i found a more secure spot. No i have not been in jail, but with your attitude your gonna land yourself in jail one day and become someones bitch. Growing weed is only a hobby and not life or death for me, i dont entertain the life style of "beat or be beaten" or "eat or be eaten"

Who i am and what i am does not pertain to the fact that i dont condone violence as a mean of fighting back.

yeah good point, I thought about that after I posted. I figured someone would give me a hard time.

It's still vigilantism though. It would be considered battery or murder depending on the end result. So just make sure you're willing to do the time as the price for dishing out homestyle justice.

I think smell is the biggest security risk for an outdoor garden. I've decided to mask my garden's smell. Ace Hardware sells an outdoor fly trap called the Rescue Fly Trap. You cut a hole in the top, pull up the plastic stopper, add water and hang it up. It's got a bait packet inside, and after a few days it puts off a particularly nasty, old rotten dumpster smell.

I agree. No weed is worth killing, or for that matter injuring another human being for. In the end, most times we have ourselves to blame for getting ripped (bad location, not taking precautions, TELLING OTHERS)

i also think the biggest deterrent for rippers is thorn bushes. 80% of my plots are surrounded by thorn bushes with very sharp and pointy thorns. i am willing to take the cuts on my body for peace of mind but some schmoehawk most likely is not, unless really desperate.
