Hi,

Thnx for the pictures ! They look awsome.

I started for 9 days with 8 seeds Auto AK47

Soil is 50% regular seed soil / 50% plagron batmix and on top some Seramis.

Lights i used where first 7 days 4 blue cfl bulbs.

From day 8 i used 125W Eco-Light Red. Lights go 19/5. Distance 5 inches
from plants

5 are going ok so far, 1 is very tiny, 1 didn't came to life.

1 has very droopy leaves, but the leafes aren't weak they just pointing
down.

#1cheesebuds: Thanks. It was Lowlife's Auto AK47, bought from GrowshopAlien.

I had 10 girls in a Secret Jardin 120W (160x120x60) with 2x150w HPS.

Average yield was 20grms pr plant.

They are doing fine for now, 4 girls from 8 seeds so 50/50

But one doesn't feel like growing for now, she is staying very small.

Here are some pics @ day 20 from seed :woohoo:

looking good. im doing a grow using 2 of the 250w cfls. would use an hps or hid but i only have 3ft in height so they are not an option. i must say even when i had 1 250w the growth was amazingly fast. i had a nice harvest on a lowryder 2 aswell. they are definitely worth using in a smaller area and cheap to run. i have just started a grow journal, "cabinet grow using 2 250w cfl's"

@Mac Lee
There are only auto AK47, i would like to change the topic name but couldn't
find that option.

@lowrdr
The CFL is doing ok, only problem is the lampholder E40 is very big so wenn i
put the light close (2 inch)to the ak47 the light isn't spread equal. The right side doesn't
get to much light that way. Now the 125W is about 6 inches above.

The smaller one i killed he wass a little freak the bastard.

How much wider do they get ?

Like the pic from Troy.No is the goal, model wise, i can't create that with the CFL i a'm afraid. I don't like them to get very bushy because of the small growroom.

Daffy420: Pull your light higher up, then they should stretch for the light (upwards).

Im not saying this WILL work, but that is what i have experienced myself.

Daffy, things are looking from the pictures..but I just wanted to touch on a few things brought up in this thread.Regarding lollipopping...It is my understanding that pruning is something you want to do a month before you flower them.Pruning diffuses floral hormones,so flowering will be retarded. If heavily pruned shortly before flowering, you will set your plants harvest back by a week,as it my take up to a month or longer for the hormone levels to get back to what they once were.I suggest trying it only on a few plants and compare the results side by side to see exactly what happens to an autoflowering plant.

On CFLs...you would need many small bulbs very close to the plants, the big ones throw light deeper in to the canopy so you can grow taller, more dense plants, which is what I would recommend for a garden of your dimensions.I have read that it is best to hang them vertically as the light they throw off is so weak that a horizontal reflector actually lessens efficiency(on the higher wattage CFLs not T5s/T8s).Also bear in mind you do not have to use exclusively autoflowering strains under CFLs.As you may find, using different strains in the same room may cause for an uneven canopy profile, which in turn may prevent some plants from receiving as much light as others. It would be ideal to start clones, veg them for a few weeks, then prune the tops to promote lower branch growth (central colas tend to be airy and loose under CFL's) so you can have as many small bud sites as possible, and then induce flowering when the time is right.Good luck ,and I hope to see more pics soon.

Hi,

thnx for the reply, with the lollipopping i don't think i am going to risk it
because they are looking very healthy now. I don't wan't to ruin them.

With the 125W ecolight hanging vertical, is it wise to do this now ? Or just
keep it like this, because i have one 125W now and one 18w and a 23 W.
(the two smaller ones are for covering up the missing light from the E40
Lamp holder)

With the auto flower, i am new with the growing so the auto it is nice to
roll into growing. Next round is a bigger tent and also going for hps.

I am going to update every week ;)

Hello again Daffy, what I meant to say in my previous post was that things are looking good.Fucking stoners with their lousy typing eh?

RE the light situation, for max bud efficiency I would suggest adding another 125 watt or upgrading to a 200 watt CFL and get rid of the smaller two.Hanging the light vertically would be ideal to get as much light as possible to the lower branches. You would want to have it about 3-4 inches away, moving it progressively higher as the plants grow. But if you are about to upgrade to a bigger tent with HPS I would not worry so much about maximizing CFL flowering efficiency. As it is,this will be a great room for a nice mother plant,or rooting clones/starting a few seedlings to move to your bigger setup.

If you are new to growing I would suggest you purchase Marijuana Horticulture,The Indoor/Outdoor Medical Grower's Bible by Jorge Cervantes,if you have not already done so.It is possibly one of the most comprehensive guides to growing cannabis one can find in book form, and is truly my bible.I Look forward to your updates.

Hi Nino,

thnx for mentioning that bible you got, i am going to look for it.

With the yield, i love big buds but if i can get 50gr. quality in total from the 3
lady's together i am happy.

My first grow wass Lowryder 2 under about 70W cfl bulbs, i harvested 25 gr.
of nice bud. They are very compact and really hard, but also crispy, have
to figure out why they were that crispy.

I am a vaporist so the 25gr last me for 4 moths or something like that.

For me it is not about the quantity but the quality, and love to taste the full
aroma of the strain.

Wow those LR2s look awesome...every picture I see them in they just keep looking better and better.Your yield pretty good considering that at best CFLs usually yield about 1/2 gram per watt. Not bad at all for your first time.
