ah joe man, you live in a part of the US I have wanted to visit or preferably live in for a long time my friend
I wish 'the man' here in the UK would get his ass sorted out and pass medicinal use!
being able to start a grow from bought clones is the way to go bud, on the conditions that you aren't in a lot of pain or discomfort of course
I spoke to a friend of a friend who originally came from Northern California and she was saying 215 gets totally abused?, she gave an example case of a young guy getting a ticket to grow really easily?
Flood & Drain is the way to go imo, my very first ever hydro grow was SuperSkunk done in a Nutriculture GT-901 NFT sys with 400w. While great results can be had this way, I personally prefer deep F+D with a quick drain as fresh air is sucked down into the clay pebbles which the roots love

california is quite lovely. i've been here for 5 years. i would say the only people who say 215 is being abused are those who are against pot in general. i tend to look at it as taking full advantage of state laws for something that shouldn't have been illegal in the first place.
also, i don't think it is being abused since the bill was purposely left "open". and by that i mean they didn't specify it could only be legal for aids or cancer patients.
it is rather easy to get your doctors recommendation, which is all you need. in fact, my doctor graduated from notre dame. some may say my medical need is "sketchy", but i do use marijuana for insomnia and anxiety. i was sick and tired of taking pills, which is why i looked into getting my recommendation.
as far as my first hydro grow, i will definitely do things differently when these gals are done. probably do buckets w/ hydrotron and will either try sog or scrog.

On the 215 thing, my take on it is it don't matter if it's cancer (god forbid) or getting someone's appetite back, it's doing someone some good and is preferable to chemicals!
I myself smoke bud instead of prescription drugs for anxiety also joe, they make me want to sleep during the day though so if my G.P gave me a haze or something with a motivational high instead (this particular pill they have currently stopped any new prescriptions of btw!) then I'd be happy
Don't want to get started on the medicinal or even recreational laws concerning weed in the UK
