Alrighty. I've done some looking around and can't seem to find to many threads. I decided from now on when I grow a new strain this is my best way to document the strain for others to learn about it.

Right here I have 28 Serious Seeds "Chronic". I dont know to much about this strain other then the person who took the time to figure the strain out has found the best possible phenos. That is what I am supposedly dealing with. Also there is 1 other cut in there that isnt the same. I havnt got a response about what strain he may have given me.

They were under T5's in like 8 oz cups and they were pretty tall. I transplanted them into 2 gallons as soon as I got them.

I am in 2:1 ratio of Fox Farm Ocean Forest:CoCo.
My PH tonight with nothing but Vitamin B12 was 6.1. We'll see how they react. I am completely clueless going into this other then the CoCo blocks make up of like 2 bags, and they're $6.50. It's all I could afford and the guy at the hydro shop suggested it as thats what he uses and he says its absolutely amazing.

If you have any questions let me know. Right now I am vegging 2x400w MH I am going to veg until I am satisfied and then flip for 3x600w HPS.

I am unsure what nutrients I am going to use, I have FloraNova Bloom as well as some additives but should I be using CoCo specific nutrients?

Tonight I supercropped the majority of them to stop the vertical growth for a short amount of time.

I ended up breaking 2 in half, so I am assuming these two are wasted plants, but we'll see. I really got the technique down torwards the end, though. The soft spot is NOT the key for me. I felt as if the hard part of the branch would be more likely to snap but that wasnt the case.

The one I supercropped BEFORE transplanting is the biggest one yet, thats why I decided to do a lot more.

I do NOT know what the Humidity/Temp is because the Sulphur Burner I messed up not only killed my plants but killed the probes in my temperature readers too. :dueling:

Enough of the rambling heres some pics.

what i ve read its not good to top the chronics because the maincola is that special about her.

the two broken ones just fix the stem with something they will do good in a week or 2.

ph is perfect, but dont feed them for next few days they looking good so far.

i dont know about mixtures with soil and coco but there diffrent fertilizers for hydro and soil

you plants look really good maybe spray them with some water once or twice a day they will love it and put fans inside.

Hey man. Ya the two broken ones lol there aint nothing fixing those bad mamba jambas. I was going to but its not worth the delay. I am sure they wont get a huge central cola BUT those plants will help fill in the canopy so oh well about the main cola.

Thanks for the response! Hopefully I can flip within 7 days.

Hey everyone. Ya so I'm a little bummed growth seems to be kinda slow and 1 doesnt look like shes making a very good recovery. I can imagine the growth is gonna be a little slow considering I supercropped almost all of them but hopefully they'll bounce back soon.

Some of them still seem really drooping even though its not due to supercropping. I am wondering if it might be something else.

Here are some updated photos.

I would give them a small dose of epsom salts if I was you. Looking at them. I got the feeling that they have a Mg deficiency.
Please anyone correct me if wrong!!

they're drooping like they're overwatered a little bit

no need for coco nutes....pbp soil works great in pure coco, as does floranova :D you're growing in more soil than coco anyways, i would treat it as a soil grow...

if you try to feed every day full strength like coco you're going to burn your ladies

chronic has great aroma, yield, and bag appeal, but the potency just isn't there.

can't remember who said it, but, curing is a must with chronic....great improvement with a 60 day cure, but who can wait that long?! :D

good luck with the grow man, let me know if i can help

Hey good luck on the Chronic...I done it outside this year with mixed emotions :)

Buds got huge and mold hit them fast and furious, so watch out for the those compact buds when you get that far !

Here's a couple pics of one that did not produce super compact buds and hence not that much mold

Although yield is great and very important, I am hoping the time the person took choosing the phenos pays off.

I have seen some dried nug shots of the Chronic (450g under 400w) and it just doesnt look appealing to much what so ever.

Anyone got some Chronic pictures? I'd love to see them.

i beg to differ with you redeye, i flowered 4 ladies from seed, and flowered clones off those 4, all with disappointing potency. a 60 day cure does make a notable improvement, but that's true for any strain!

....or maybe i just smoke too much :jerkit:

bterzz here ya go.....

As long as it smells good, tastes good, the potency doesnt have to be super super heavy. I dont need to smoke a bunch to jack myself up but a super strong potency I wouldnt complain about.

That bottom picture looks REALLY tasty.

Update from today. Starting to fill in the canopy a little bit. Hopefully veg for another 6-7 days and spread them apart and flip. I still have another like 3 feet on the left side of the picture that you cant see.

Ok so I turned on the third hood to get a better idea of how space I need to fill in.

How much longer do you think I will need to veg to get a full canopy?

you could go just as long as they start to touch each other (that would be around a week i guess) - but what i would do is let them go rather 2 weeks and get rid of all the side branching for some ridiculus yield!

i might even think of reducing the growing area a bit to be abel to go for one cola only!?
