3 plant 600 watt coco scrog

Welcome! This grow diary documents my new coco scrog. I'm growing 2 Magus Double Dutch (femmed) and 1 Serious Chronic. The chronic just showed female preflowers so I knew it was time to repot it into its final home and drop the screen over it. The DD were vegged for about 2 months and the chronic was vegged about a month. All the plants are grown from seed.

The setup is:
- Hydrohut Silver 3x3
- 600 watt digi and a Super Sun 2 aircooled
- S and P 6 inch fan and an Elf filter
- 10 gal plastic tubs filled with b'cuzz coco and Oregonism
- Fungi/Bennies are encouraged so all the tap water sits out a day or two before nutes are mixed.
- Handwatered now but will start drip to waste in a week or so.
- Veg nutes are CNS 17 (old formula), occasional molasses, occasional Floralicious Plus.
- Bloom nutes are FloraNova Bloom, Flora Bloom (only for week or two before the flush starts, KoolBloom liquid, occasional molasses, occasional Floralicious Plus

Here's the chronic before I repotted it into the tub of coco today. When I repotted I added a tbsp of oregonism under the plant and on the sides.

Here's the chronic LST I did to train it for the screen.

Here's the plants before the screen goes on. Chronic's on the left, the DD on the right.

Here they are with the screen on.

This here's the Satori I'm revegging under a T5.

This is my first time working with these genetics, and it's only my third scrog. All comments and advice are appreciated!

weezybleezy - temps stay about 3 to 5 degrees warmer in the tent than in the room. The S & P fan does great cooling a 600. I also use insulated ducting and insulate my reflector.

Hi *mistress*

The 10 gallon totes are sitting in a MacCourt Super Tub. The super tub has two holes drilled in its bottom, so when I water the plants, the excess drips down into the under-bed storage container at the very bottom.

What's up, MoleMcHenry? Just read up on Oregonism (had never heard of it before reading your lead post). The shit must be good-- 'cause those roots in the lead post are...

Very nice job. Love the dtw idea (or are you re-using the waste?) Good luck.

Hi -VT-

Yeah, it's drain to waste. I hate res maintenance, so this system works well for me. I do end up wasting nutes, but it's a tradeoff I'm willing to make for the ease.

*mistress* Thanks for the link!

It's an interesting idea, but since my runoff is so little, I don't really mind dumping it. Also, some of it goes to my houseplants, so I don't feel so bad. But the wonderful thing about ICMag is learning about the variety of ways to grow our favorite plant!

Quick pic update

Quick pic update

I just snapped these pics of the tent. Both the Chronic and the DD are slower growers in veg than the Mandala genetics I'm used to, but obviously both pack on the weight in flower. I hope to get a keeper. Also, I've noticed that the Chronic likes ppms on the high side--as high as 950 ppm.

Looks like it's time to do some trimming and tucking!

For my next run, I just sent off for a pack of Joey Weed Northern Lights x C99. Anyone have experience growing those out, or smoking it? I was looking for a quick, potent, high yielding strain.

Awesome! I am doing an 1800w Chronic grow so I am curious to see how yours turns out!

I have never ran the strain but am looking forward to the big buds.

I wish my Chronic looked half as good as yours, though.

caljim - I'm thinking I'll let em go a few more days. I'm thinking the plants won't stretch that much.

bterzz - 1800 watts...I'm jealous! Do you have a grow diary for your chronic?

Let the flowering commence!

Let the flowering commence!

Nice to meet you grasper. I think the next round I do will have some big and chunky perlite in it.

I switched my timer to 12/12 today, so tomorrow (Sept 27) is the first official day of flowering. I should be chopping right around Thanksgiving.

I've heard of people running into problems when trying to train the Chronic. I believe its a single cola type plant, and I know for sure it can react very poorly to topping especially. Are you running into any issues? It obviously doesn't appear you are, but I thought I would ask, because I'm very curious.
