Made some hash:):)

So I finally hired someone on to help with everything! Anyway, she brought a new silk screen over and wanted to learn how to make hash (you gotta love this girl). I had a pound or so of bud trimmings just chilling in the freezer so we finally got together and had some fun We put the screen on top of a giant mirror and went to work, and it took a good while I assure you! Anyway, here are a couple of pics I took. The pieces weighed 3.5g each and we got four before we finally quit due to exhaustion and the fact that it was 2am! The pieces have a nice blonde colour to them, although it looks more green in the last pic. The high was nice and groovy and makes me kind of talkative and bouncy (Probably because I grow sativas 90% of the time) I kept one to smoke, gave her one, and saved two of them for Christmas time, I'm sure it'll be appreciated

Thanks everyone My new girl worked at a t-shirt company for a long time and she apparently has a ton of them, new and mounted on wooden frames (like the one in the picture). She has a finer one as well that she'll bring over the next time we make some. As for the microns of the screen, I'll ask her when I see her, I really don't know.

I think the same size is due to making it with a cigarette cellophane! Hahahahaha Check out making hash on youtube if you don't know what I mean.

It really turned out nice and I almost tweek off of it! I vacuumed the house at midnight last night! I like that way more than just zoning out and falling asleep, which is what it does to my gf. Kind of weird how it affects us so differently.

try running the leftover material for water extraction after the dry sifting. Often times another reasonably respectable yield can be had.. albeit of a lower quality.

We did that too! We made the strongest brownies of all times! I made canna-oil with about an ounce and a half of really strong shake, then put 1/8th (3.5g) of crystals in, and I threw in a half ounce of buds because I wanted it to be strong! Stupid move btw because we all crashed out from them, and I'm not sure, but I think I traveled through time briefly!! It also made my house smell like a bloody opium den for 2 days!! Fun, but I'd rather just smoke it.

what im sayin though is that you should take the material you already sifted, then use it for other applications too, to get all the goodness out of it.. there aint nothing like some good ol efficiency.

I don't know why that looks like that in the picture. I think it was creases where I peeled the cellophane off of it. I didn't notice it until I blew the picture up. Might have been a hair, but probably one of ours, my gf, assistant, and myself all have 3 ft long hair! Keeping the bathrooms hair free is impossible around here!

Hahahaha, you got it! I have to pull and trim one tomorrow, and I have two more that will be done any day now! I really went overboard on this last grow and I'm gonna be busy for the next few weeks! I did a pretty big batch of seeds that I produced from a hawaiian sativa and a female big bud that I purposely stressed out until it hermied. I wanted to see if it was true that the seeds would be all female, and fuck me it is true! So I had 20+ female plants this grow! Which is way out of hand for me. Meanwhile I have another batch of my Bumble bee plants vegged to death! And a pound or so left of shake from before to make more hash with. The rooms are smashed with plants and I really want to get a bunch out of here so I can clean things up and pump my brakes a little!

Nice job TG! I've never tried dry sift hash.... I bet its tasty! I do the bubble bag thang.... ya loose alot of the nice taste though. Which makes it good for cooking, but I bet dry sift is nicer to smoke..... It is huh?

I don't know really, I don't have bubble bags I'm really an old school chick when it comes to pot. In order for me to change anything, it has to be revolutionary. I always liked making hash that way, and I love the taste of it! So why change? I think the bags would be easier and more convenient, but it looks like a mess to clean up after. I just used some windex and a few paper towels to clean up. If I had a large operation I would probably go the bubble bag route, or use a washing machine. But for what I grow, it works out just fine.
