Half and Half weird question

this one is for you guys with all the experience. Is it possible once u have a bushy plant to "split" it in half. (Not cut it but with a dark cloth or some material that doesn't let light in.) put the material in the middle of the plant and run 12/12 on one side and 24 solid light on the other. Don't know of an advantage or disadvantage but i was just wondering?

Pretty sure that that would have absolutely no effect - plant would stay in veg.

But then again - nothing beats learning by doing. DO IT! DO IT!

I disagree... reading many older guerilla grows of "back in the day", old-schoolers used to put a bag over part of a plant every night for 12 hours to get the plant to flower earlier for sexing.
I dont see why this wouldn't work... A plant, even down to it's stems and roots contain the very same genetics. This however does not mean that all parts of the plant have to flower or even die at the same time. I know that Many growers "stagger" their harvest chopping down a single plant over a period of time to get different desired effects from their plant.
I don't have proof this works, and is all just theory until it is tested... a test in which I cannot complete, so I will have to leave for someone else more dedicated to accomplish. I hope somebody does test this and I hope it goes well, regaurdless of the results.
