My killer Queens started autoflowering ???

I've been running the killer queens for 3 years. I don't have a mother plant but take cuts before I start flowering.There was a timer malfunction for maybe a few days (lights stayed on24/7)I thought this may have something to do with it. This last run, I see autoflowering. never seen it before on the KQ's. Is this something I need to be concerned about or is this a good thing?I always understood it (autoflowering) not to be a desirable trait, but now there's a whole forum about it...let me know your thoughts.....

If indeed you have been taking cuts from a non-auto mom, I can say with an absolute degree of certainty that you do not have auto plants.

Some plants, even stuff from ancient senescent clones will often throw out flowers easily, as if they've been waiting years to do it.

I would say in your case autoflowering is not good.

I also wouldn't say that just being on 24/7 for a few days would cause them to AF. It has to be some other stress issue causing them to AF.

Rootbound ?

Heat ?

My guess is that when you discovered 24/7 you reset it to something like 18/6? I have had them start flowering with that kind of decrease in lighting.

Anita, I've seen that happen with that particular cut too. Happened when it got rootbound. Lost her recently due to the *&%$*&$% root aphids (devel plague, all my plants caught a virus and had to be let go). Man I'd love to have that cut back...

I ran this strain a few more times and, along with others and, and the killer queen was the only one affected.

to answer my own question, yes the bud structure and bud was affected.Each grow, the buds were noticeably smaller and not much buzz.not even sticky anymore. This knida makes you think genetic drift is possible but I dont know enough about it to debate it here. I did give up on the killer queen, as much as I hated to. Kinda of a favorite around here. The person I originally got the cut from said hers did the same thing. They may have been rootbound , but the others would have been also. uuummmmmm
