just found 3 worms in two different colas on my 4 week flowering Green Cracks. I plucked them and removed the black dots of shit they leave behind.

i'm hoping there won't be too many more and that they are at least slowed down by the goopy resin.

anyone having these problems?

the worms are a 1/4 inch long tiny almost transluscent.:joint::joint:

You have caterpillers, and yes, there is more...almost guaranteed!!
You need to get some caterpiller spray with BT...they sell it at Home Depot...it is safe for mammals and you can use it up to a week or 2 before harvest--
Good luck, I battle those bastards every year!!
If you do nothing, you will start to notice parts of your buds dying...as they eat them from the inside out--

BT is not a chemical. Its a bacteria. Its like buying ladybugs to eat spidermites. Except this tiny living this gets into the cats' food supply and kills them from the inside... like a poison, but NOt a poison in the chemical sense.

Ditto...pick off the pillars you can see and spray with BT. The bacteria gets inside their gut and kills them naturally from the inside out.

I promise you the 3 you found will turn into about 25 within the next 3 days.

If you got them you got them, and there will be more.

These things are absolute suckers, and WILL kill your crop if youre not careful.

BT is LEGIT. Go get some.

heed the advice. pretty sure there are OMRI listed BT products... and if its OMRI, its cool right? Hippies will use it as a mayonaise substitute.

they could also just be fungus gnat larvae, u can either get yourself a periathian bomb, they are like 50$ but it will kill every living thing in your growroom, and completely safe for the plants. I get mine at the grow stores, but just do a google search.

ANother route is just flower them, harvest, see what you get then just start over from scratch, throw EVERYthing away, soil, pots, then hit your grow room hard with a pesticide

I would not use pyrethrins after 2 weeks into flower. That stuff takes a while to break down. Sun degrades BT in a matter days. Safe to spray a week before harvest if you absolutely have to.

You can also look into spinosad. Another soil dwelling bacterium. I think that it is a contact killer vs an injested killer like BT. a little more difficult to find.

are fungus gnat larvae 1/4" long? I believe that they are around 3mm or around 1/8". I realize that 1/4 inch and 1/8 may seem like very small differences, but not when you are comparing worms.

thanks for the tips man, might of save dme from a bad experience, my roommate told me that the pyrethrin bombs are safe, wrong once again! lol

How many times per week are you using BT? How close to harvest are you going to use it, and does it depend on if your actually finding cats.?

I just sprayed my plants today with a Serenade and Spinosad combo...2 oz's of each per gallon of water...i have anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks left to go

Bonide makes a Spinosad product...Captain Jack's Dead Bug

And this company has one too...Monterey Garden Insect Spray...they claim "B.t. replacement, more effective pest control"...this is what i used today

I have used both bonides and L&G's...i think they are the same product in a different bottle...looked exactly the same...btw bonide also makes a BT product

what is your feeling about using BT or Spinosad in combination with Greencure/Kaligreen? I got over my fear and used kaligreen again on the afpak. I do BT once a week. I would alternate it with spinosad on a 5 day rotation if I had spinosad.

won't kaligreen just kill the BT or spinosad? not sure...i would use a BT and spinosad combo...both just bacteria...like me using serenade...probably could use a three part combo of BT, spinsad, and serenade...haven't tried that

that was what i thought about the kaligreen... just needed to say it out loud. kaligreen kills by breaking down the cell walls of fungus so that it cannot retain moisture. that's mostly what a fungus is... by weight. anyhow... i could see other lifeforms not having a problem with this... but i do not know. what i have since rationalized is that it would create an environment that is too alkaline for the BT to survive in...

that reminds me...i believe that foliar srays with BT have to be 6.8 to be totally effective. well... that was Weed Santa's advice when using other bacilli in Subculture B when I was killing rust on the afpak in the forced flower.
