Get the scope, I just did, and what a world of difference, as it helps me get the herb right where I like it, between couch-lock & heady semi energetic, a best of both worlds deal.Of course I cut some down at different points to get different desired effects.!!!I just found some of my outdoor is getting closer .........so on with the flush!!!!!!!!!

I will say, the $12 for me was the best investment besides my lights.
That first plant, "the frostless wonder" kept going and growing, on and on.
Apparently it was a 14-16 week strain and without that scope, I just might have cut it down at 10 weeks and had wasted all that time and energy.
I got the scope, followed the directions from many on here as to what I should watch for and today I have some kick-ass smoke.
I did harvest her when she was 90% cloudy @ 13 weeks because it seemed the trichs were never going to turn amber.
I had a clone about 4 weeks behind the mother and I had seeded that plant.
Because I was concentrating on the seeds maturing, I allowed that one to just go the full time and WOW, what a difference that made.

too many white hairs.

what I would do is

1. wait for it to fill up, swollen calyxes
2. new white hairs SLOW or STOP
3. check the trichs for amber/cloudy and NOT clear

you have a few weeks minimum.

Ahhhhhh, thank guys... i will keep you posted, i will take pics every few days and show how they doing.

I have never started a journal due to a little paranoia and as im not very good at that sort of thing.
I am very technical minded (being a tech engineer in plastics) but when it comes to typing not very good.
I apopreciate all the help i have recieved from this comunity and 1 day will pay back, however am a little of a info junky and read soo many postes which leave me a little :abduct: lol.
cheers guys

let em go for as long as you can let yourself.
The buds may look thick enough to you now, but don't forget that those buds lose a LOT of weight to the drying and curing process - what looks like a decent nug can sometimes dry out to be popcorn. Let them go at least a couple more weeks - a month if you can handle it, but like the others are saying, a magnification scope of some sort will make it so you never have to worry if you're cutting too early again.

55 days could mean from when the first budsites appear, so add about 10 days to that and theres your chopline.

Yortbogey is right 'schiz IZ NOT finished', no need to scope to see that. While there are noticable differences between the same plant harvested at different times, they're completely overshadowed by the genes. In other words, trying to engineer the couchlock out of a heavy indica strain by picking early won't work nearly as well as just growing something that has the high you want to start with. I'd say give it a couple more weeks and chop, don't bother with buying a scope.

use the microscope from radioshack

now ifn i done what cork144 suggests my sugar shack would spew nanners all over considering its 45-50days strain allow it to go more then 60 days and nanners show.

i count from day1 of 12/12

organic?? 10-14 days but 3 wks is fine also. its hard to flush organics from the soil takes longer flush 3wks dose nice for me.
