reflector question.....

hello all....i have been studying this for quite some time now...i am in most, if not all of the online forums for growing, and i love this one the best....everyone is so help ful...i really appreciate it...okay...i started with wanting 4-600 watt hps for flowering, and now i have gone down to two...i would like to doa perpetual grow, i want to have 1-600 watter over a 3x3 foot grow space...(not counting the room to work around in...just a 3x3 foot lighted area from a 600 watter, times 2. From what Ive been gathering, a 3x3 is pretty good space for a 600 watter, and I am going to do a SOG grow...my main question is what would be the ideal reflector for me for what I want here...I am going to get the digi Lumatek ballasts, but cant seem to make my mind up on the right refelctor for this particular grow. a good reflector that with put a lightprint over a 3x3 space well with a 600. any feedback would be greatly appreciated...thank you ic members again...i look forwward to hearing from you. I havent come up with the strain I want yet either...I am still reading hundreds of kinds a day..lol...but once i get the reflector picked out, i can move to the next thing I want.. I am def a newb, so please bear with me people...i want to do this right, and have taken advice from a lot of you so far...thank you...

I am currently running twin 3x3 E&F tables under 1200w of light. I am using adjust-a-wing reflectors in that room, However heat is an issue come summertime. The flexibility of the A-wings is great but they dont stay as cool as an air-cooled hood. Also, the super-spreaders are a waste if used on 400 or 600 watt bulbs. They will create a "hole" in your canopy directly under the light. I think they might work well for the 1k lamps but after 6+ grows with them I strongly advise against using super-spreaders with 400 or 600 watt lamps.

I would recommend an air-cooled hood for your purposes. I use sun systems yield master II supreme. Cheap and effective, the foot print with a 600 is great for a 3x3.

My only other recomendation is to start with E&F as opposed to aero. Its much more forgiving.

Whichever path you choose I wish you much success. grow on!

thanx a lot for the feedback my friend....i was lookin at the adjust a wings, i am gonna go now and read more on them....

the air cooled hoods now....would it be better for me to use them, or to just have a god exhaust system?

Its more efficent to use air cooled hoods. I had air cooled hoods in that room before but swaped them out to the adjust-a-wings. It has been much harder to control temps with the A-wings. I will be returning to air-cooled hoods very soon.

Depends on how that room breathes. Does it have access to outside air? I have to use an a/c in the dead of summer to keep my temps in check. Now that its cooled off I just leave a window open. I wouldnt get one until you know you need it.
