mimicking a marijuana grow for practice

M

movingtocally

My grow/partner grows aren't at my current apartment. I live in an all utilities included apartment, and I'm on the verge of purchasing a few 1000 watters anyway. I figure what the hell, it's not my power, might as well practice my technique, right?

What legal plants mimic the growth cycle of marijuana to some degree? Any ideas for practice? Can't hurt, and again, it's free electricity, so fuck em.:nanana:

Thanks guys!

I've seen a lot of people grow chili peppers along with their cannabis plants. I don't think it mimics the growth cycle in any way though but hey at least they are proven to do ok in an environment made for cannabis.

I'm sorry but your asking for trouble.
The apartment still has to flip the bill and they have X number of dollars for spending on this kinda stuff. It's a perk for residents to have utils free. However when they see apartment 1-30 $50-80 a month then 31 costing them 130 a month they are gonna be like eh.......... Apartment growing is ALWAYS risky business. Every apartment I have lived in 5 now there has always been a time where maintenance has had to come in for one thing or another. Expected or unexpected cause shit happens.
A friend of mines maint checked everything in his house and found a pound in his freezer. YEAH. Even checking out his freezer for what have you. Some food for thought.

i wouldn't do it man, the only information you could glean would be how those lights affect THAT environment, which is completely unique. There would be little to no information that would be worthy when you moved it to your actual spot. And of course, you don't want the manager banging on your door about it, for any reason. You want them to be happy with you when you leave, so you have a good reference at the NEXT place, capisce?

An alternative might be - Grow a couple of herb or vegetable plants under CFls. Build a cloner and practice with that under a CFL bulb. Never hurts to test out different methods of germinating seeds.

Power included does not mean free. You have a bad idea that will get you busted one way or another.

1. The landlords bill will be noticeably higher 2. You would probably short one of the breakers for the apt . I had a 1/1 apt using a 400w with TV on and PC on sometimes it would go

I think I'm just going to use 1000 watts of a combined garden for a lot of different herbs and such. I understand what you guys are saying but I need to clarify that right now I have zero grows going at my place. If they get suspicious or it draws attention to myself in some way, they are more than welcome to come in. It's a legit garden.

I don't think it's being a dick. They advertise free electricity, the contract doesn't have a limit specified. Besides, there are some TV's that take up a 1000 watts!

i get red flags man. i wouldnt take advantage of the wording...it's free...to you, but nothing is free - and someone is not going to take lightly(haha) to all that energy. If not mad, they would be curious at best..not good.

im running 400 watts right now, but id like to go up to a 1000 watts in my 2 bedroom apt, and im still having reservations as i already have 4 computers, dont ask, and ac, and a big tv...and it adds up.

But bro, they can get curious. it's a legit garden. I have no pot in the apartment. I have nothing illegal in my apartment.

Um.. it's not the kicking down of the door as much as the investigations which could lead them to your other grows... they have to collect evidence to kick your door in and high electrical usage generally is NOT a warrant fetching cause. Don't do it. :2cents:
