I'll be showin' yall some love as promised real soon here. Got my little babies in jiffy plugs under the humidity dome, about to hit the big show. First true leaves are just poppin' out passed the cotyledons. awwww yeahhh!

WHAT'S REALLY GOING ON HERE?!

I've got:
5-6 purpppppp seedlings(i forgot to label the bag i dropped the beans into so it could just be some random dankkkk but i got my fingers crossed) in a 22"x15.5"x30" (WxDxH) 3/4" thick MDF wood box w/ 6 CFLs. ( 2x 42w 2700k-ish, 2x 23w 2700k-ish, 2x 26w 6500k-ish). So for all you stoners, 182w of total mixed spectrum power. Got the inside nice and flat white. The air moves using a front-lower mounted 14"x6" passive intake and a top mount active exhaust. using a climate keeper dual fan window unit. Its sick.
My soil is getting mixed up tonight.

6 parts Fox Farm Ocean Forest
2 parts perlite
2 parts earthworm castings
2 tbsp/gal Powdered dolomite lime

My Nutes:
FF Grow Big
FF Big Bloom
Superthrive

pots:
1- jiffy pellet
2- cut down 20oz. soda bottles
3- plastic cups (not solo)
4- square pots (i have yet to aquire these)



I'll get some pics when theres anything worth showing. =)

oh and quick question, one of my seedlings is already turning purple(stem and base of cotyledons), now i've seen this before but not til a couple days after they show their true leaves. Anyone know wuzzup?

Its the Strain, if you were saying this going into flower or late veg without good soil and fert regimen then I would say P deficiency, although it can be N deficiency also. You have good dirt that will take your 4 or 5 weeks without any nutes before start showing nute def. problems. Be thankfull you might have a pheno that is more purple variety.

Five healthly seedlings at day 10 (tonight when the lights go on) of flower after about a two week veg period from seed. One is showing some hardcore pH reactions (curling leaves ya dig?) but no lockout yet. Got my fingers crossed.
The purp seedling talked about earlier is looking sexy sexy sexy with her colors still bloomin. Such a deep purple, i haven't seen this before so early on. They're on "night" 9 of flower. About to show me some lady parts tonight when those lights flick back on. Gonna mix up some new soil with powdered lime in it and adding some earthworm castings too. Transplant them to their final growing medium. They've started drinking 1/2 tsp. Grow Big / gal and 1 tsp. Tiger Bloom / gal. The day after watering with the increased nutrients, they showed me some love when it came time for the lights to go on. Big growth compared to the previous couple of days.

I'll get you all some pics when i can commandeer a digi.
Temps are around 73-74F night time (sometimes lower) and about 79-82F during lights on. Got 4 x 26w 6500k bulbs and 4x 23w 2700k bulbs for a total of 196w of mixed spectrum goodness.

Chopped a male. It made me kind of sad to tell ya the truth. Such a pretty little thing... oh welll..! Down to four ambiguous plants on flower day 14. still got the purple one hanging around being pretty. Got 2 new bulbs. 5500k 27w "full spectrum" spirals. yeah right... . replaced 2 x 6500k 26w spirals with the new ones. That leaves 2 x 6500k 26w ---- 2 x 5500k 27w ----- 4 x 2700k 23w. (198w total full spectrum basically over 15"x22")

Going to water them soon with 1/2 tsp/gal grow big and 1 tsp/ gal tigerbloom, they're new bigger cups are starting to get light.

Lately i've been looking for active carbon (DIY scrubber ohh wesssupppp) and its quite hard to find large granule carbon. Out of seven stores, three had it, and they all had tiny almost powder sized granules. The search continues...

Also got designs going for a smaller mom/clone cab so i can jump on the perpetual train... I'm getting a camera one of these days so i'll go apeshit with that hoe when its here.

quickie, lots of work to do.

bought supplies/lumber for my mother/clone cab. its gonna be 22"W x 16"D x 24" H.
I'm gonna play with different amounts of lighting, (4-6 bulbs) to see which is most efficient and sustains growth at the rate needed.
Still need to get a couple PC fans, weather stripping, and some extension cords (to cut up for my lighting system).

pretty sure my purp is a female. (had my fingers and toes crossed for this one, she gon be a momma) and it looks like one other male is in the cab. gonna let it go for another light cycle, lets hope he gets some bigger balls by then so i can give 'em the ol' snip snip. The other two are pretty ambiguous still... Day 15 of flower tonight... shouldn't they have been sexed by now?

What's up everybody?

So, chopped another male last night. Got two females for sure and another that's laggin' behind. Last couple of days have been hectic, lemme tell ya. Been going place to place to get supplies for my mother/veg cab. Got that hoe constructed just need to wire the lights, wire the fans, paint the inside, and weatherstrip the door. This shit is exciting, huh?

Everything else is going pretty good. I'll try to get some pictures up by the end of the week. I mean it!! peace everybody.

update on the new box:

got the lights wired. Cake. It gets easier every time. Gotta love you guys and your picture tutorials. Looked at it once and I'm set for life. Then I got the fans wired... and ran into problems. The fans are 2 x pc fans @ .22 amps. I have them wired to a .5 amp power supply. The fans' combined amperage is .44 amps, right? What am I doing wrong? Isn't the amount of power drained under the amount of power supplied?

Grow Status: (in the flower box)

SP - Got one big sativa lady, she's got some fucking BIG fan leaves. And her new growth is reachin' for the sky. Almost straight upward... Is this kosher? so to speak....

PP - And another indica/sativa that was purple for the first month if its life, let's see if i can bring that color back out of her. (this is the pheno i'm trying to keep.)

both girls are at day 17, showin' some hairs. Purp Pheno is showing many more... maybe twice as many hairs as the Sativa Pheno


Status of mom/veg box:

All I need to do is grab some mylar/reflective material for the walls and cut the passive intake!!!! Wired and mounted the fans today, along with the top piece. This is my best cab. yet! I love it.
23"W x 17 1/4"D x 25 1/4" H.
Two top mounted 70* CFM 120mm pc fans.
six bulb sockets with expandable option to have 7+ bulbs if I want...
With 5 bulbs ( 2 x 26w, 2x 27w, 1x 23w), the box stays within 0.2*F of ambient temps.


bottom line....

Legit.


I'm still working on getting a camera so you creeps can stalk me some more and scope out The District.

Got some new nutes today.

Both plants are looking good.
The sativa pheno has a lot of main cola bud growth. The node-buds are starting to grow up into the next one. This is gonna be a pretty looking plant in a week. It's starting to get frosty close to the main stem as well.
The more indica pheno is growing a fat round main cola bud with some of the bottom nodes growing about 1/2-3/4 way up. She's starting to smell sweet and a little fruity with a bit more trichome formation than her sister.

It's flower day 22 tonight.

That's it til later... Working on getting a digi for some budporn.

I was wondering if you already opened your cha-ching or have used it?

I would suggest something like "Overdrive" instead of the "Cha-ching" considering how salt-based the Cha-Ching really is.

I ran fox farms "Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz" with great success but decided to you use Overdrive instead of Cha ching because of the salt buildup. I also flushed for 3 weeks and they packed on weight until the end so dont be scared ot flushing.

Last night the girls were watered with some new nutes.
1/8 tsp cha-ching (small dose),
1.5 tsp liquid karma,
.5 tsp Big Bloom,
1.5 tsp Tiger Bloom per gallon.

Hope they respond well.




quick qestion if anyone knows....
are LiquidKarma and BigBloom basically the same thing? Just a couple different elements here and there? Their colors are both very similar...



Also, put up one of those windshield sun reflectors on the walls of the cab. If you are thinking about doing this but think it's too hard... guess again. Grab some scissors and some tape. (double sided with high tack) measure the walls and start cutting. tape em and you're done.
