First grow going well

I just wanted to show off my progress so far with my babies. Nothing fancy and mouthwatering yet, but I'm still satisfied with myself, and I'm grateful for the knowledge and help of those at the mag. Both plants are bagseed of unknown genetic origin. They were first grown in plain soil with no nutrients, no fertilizer, and crappy sun from my western window.

Luckily, I had managed to bum a 27w CFL and a lamp from a guy, and they seemed to react well to the new light.

It was also nice being able to control light height. Eventually I had decided to transfer into larger "pots" with better quality (21-7-14) soil.

I couldn't get away with the insufficnent nutes for long though, as my leaves began to droop, dry, spot, brown, and curl after about six weeks.

I fixed this problem using some regular-ass Miracle Gro "all purpose", and by week 10-ish, these are my results. Criticism is encouraged.

How far away are you keeping the light because those things are stretching soooooo bad. Keep the light closer to the plants. Looking good otherwise, nice female you have there.

I know, they're pretty damn stemmy. :D I've been keeping the light two inches away. I didn't have a good bulb from the beginning. In fact, my whole setup is pretty ghetto and lacks finesse.

Best thing you can do now to combat that is when you next transplant them be sure to bury as much of that stem up to the node above the seed leaves (cotyldons?) as possible.

Well I'm happy to see that I haven't been scolded for doing anything terribly wrong. I wanted to see if these plants could be grown with almost no funds. My next grow will be more educated and serious. Thanks again.
