So me and my friend just bought some kelp meal and bone meal from the store and i was wondering, since my plant is already in a pot, what would be the easiest way to mix this stuff in? thanks in advance

top dress, scratch the top few inches of soil and mix it in

or just throw it in the water and some particles will make it down when you water

No damn given.

Bone must be mixed thoroughly into the soil. It will not work as a top dressing. It will also need about two weeks to break down before it's available to the plants.

can you get away with repotting again into a bigger pot and using the bone meal etc in the new soil???

I look at top dressing bone like I assume leaves break down.. it needs a bit of fungal action to be avail.. It's my guess.. So yeah it takes a bit longer than others but it is top dressable.. Better to have it composted in before or at least mixed before planting if possible..

I do add it to hot mixes and I believe some of it dissolves.. Micronize if wanting quicker with top dressing.. Mix with other materials to stimulate microbial activity on the bone meal..

Time for a nap..
