from hemp diseases and pests ( awesome book ) :

"forms enzyme complexes that act as photosynthesis regulators, plays a role in the structural rigidity of cell walls. "

Is that the hundred dollar book?

My research has lead me to believe that if you were to compare the element break down of most out-door vrs indoor that silicon would probably be a major difference, with outdoor being much higher in silicon than most indoor.

From what I understand both silicon and boron can be found in ashes from most plant material.

We know that MJ plants uptake it but everything else seems subjective on the subject. Non the less just because its not absolutely necessary I think the plants know best and probably plays roles that we quite don't understand. I think mainly overall health and defense.

^ yes. I think to come to a conclusion is to do an ash test with indoor and outdoor plants.

earth's crust with being so abundant , you would think plants would have evolved to use more of it ? I guess not
