Any way to use Credit Card and still be anonymous?

I really need to be able to order my supplies to outfit my new room on my credit card, but HATE the idea of it. I will be a completely legal grow but still, I don't like the idea.

Are there any ways to do this? I've thought about buying a prepaid visa or money order with the card and using that, but I think that could still be tracked back fairly easily. Virtual credit cards? Same thing prolly. I'm stumped, any ideas?

Another thing I thought of was finding someone with a business who can accept credit cards, and having them run my credit card for whatever ammount I need, and just give me the cash minus a fee for them. But I don't know anyone who can do that, so I guess it doesn't help me much.

Get a cash advance on your cc and use that to pay for your stuff.

Use visa gift cards, they work just like a CC for online orders.
You can put it in whatever name you want, just make sure the address matches where you plan on having the stuff shipped to.
If it's for something in person then do as robbiedublu says and just get a cash advance.
If it is for an online purchase you can get the gift card with the cash advance instead of using the CC to buy the gift card.

I pay a premium both in time and money by traveling to the only hydro store near me, almost 100 miles away and overpriced as hell, but I enjoy peace of mind as far as paper trails go.

take cash to a hydro store. You would be amazed how many people are actually growing. No one cares or will say anything, you are supporting their small buisness....now a big outlet store like home depot or lowes...forget about it, they will narc on you for sure

use a paypal account tied to a bank account rather than a credit card. Banking records are held in much stricter confidence than credit card records.

Technically, you could get some prepaid cards, but in order to connect them to my paypal account I had to set them up with a bunch of personal info... a few days later a real, embossed card with my name (and the same number as was on the one i charged up at the supermarket) on it showed up in the mail.

cash is still anonymous... getting a cash advance, buying a money order and sending that in as payment seems the best way to go. might be some places that will let you purchase a money order with your card... but then they are linked... cash advances have very high interest...

You should never take a cash advance on a credit card... thats probably the obvious reasons he was talking about. They rape you in fee's and interest rates.

interesting... you can use the CC direct (not thru paypal) without using your real name... makes sense. I guess you could then make a paypal acct with the fake name, so long as it matches up to the CC...

This sounds like a good idea at first glance...but I'm pretty sure CC balance transfers affect your credit rating in a negative way. Can anyone verify this?

The more debt you carry the lower your score will be to an extent, yes. But unless you're wanting to get financed for something in the next few years It really doesn't matter much. It will go right back up when you pay the balances off.

I wasn't saying to use a paypal account for anonymity. Just saying that I set up a rechargeable credit card to paypal. What I said about banking records is true. More secure via paypal as all credit card transactions are reported to several credit monitoring agancies... not so with bank transfers.

You can always get a clingy girl to put everything on her cards.. Then move out of state.. She'll be stuck with it.. Meanwhile she don't even know your real name.. So you made out not only for free but with anonymity.. I'm just kidding.. Use cash.. If you don't have the cash then don't run up your credit for growing supplies.. If anything you want to save that credit in case of a bust or broken hose and flooded house.. Or another type of emergency.. You can always get a cash advance to use but like you said it costs money..

So your choices are limited without cash.. Get the cash advance and either use Visa Gift Cards or money orders.. Also you could go to a hydro shop.. Don't use credit there though, use cash..

and all you have to do to use that cash on the internet is open up your CD rom and cram bills, folded in half, inside. If they don't fit, use a screwdriver to push them in as far as you can. the internet will send you you change (don;t be stupid, how on earth would it accept coins??? LOL.) via registered mail within 6-8 weeks.
