can you lst (kinda) in flower?

I was wondering if my plant happens to grow to close to the light during flowering if i can slowly bend it over so it grows kinda sideways. kind of like LST but not as extreme and with no extra benefits. will it hurt the plant? plant is from clone (Trainwreck) 17 days of flower as of today. in my own semi organic soil - placed in a plastic coffee can.

can i "lean" it?

Yes you can lean it. You can even LST it.

If you aren't using nutes with nitrogen anymore you may see some yellowing leaves when you bend it. Once the lower bud sites start getting more light they are going to head toward it.

My VK is at 14 days in flower and I'm using LST myself. More light to budsites is good.

LST all the way during the stretch period works for me!

It does depend a bit on what strain you've got though - A pure Indica might be a little stocky to bend well although it'd be unlikely to be getting too close to the light in the first place!

I grow Satori which stretches quite a bit in the first three-four weeks of 12/12 and I get excellent results by LSTing during this time:

seems indicas dont bend so easy , maybe a supercropping is in order, go with the snap

im with vegan and shawkmon, a supercrop snap would be more efficient overall at this point IMHO

dont you think im a bit to far into flowering for the super cropping?
LOOK... you can see i slight ly bent it over... once it straightens out ill just keep pulling it down till i have enough space left :)

im 4 weeks into flowering and just snapped my christmas trees, they are doing great now, not so lanky and have a more even canopy - which was the basic mission goal.

im happy i cropped because it is technically the same shape, just flatter and not as tall...and a little horizontal, but not so much as LST.:2cents::joint:

ps your lst job looks dandy:) nice one

So you guys are telling me its not going to stress the plants too much to do all these things in flowering??
When i do look at it and you dont have a choice then ofcourse go for it, you dont want your top cola good or burnt and the bottom buds without enough intens light, but in the future you must think about what can happen before you flower. I am currently in the same situation as you, my Sativas are just growing just a bout 6 inches to high. So i need to look at what im going to do myself, hope all works well for you. -syze-

You should of course, plan ahead but, folding stems beats a sharp stick to the eye. For Sativas I'd recommend a ScrOG. Same principle but easier to deal with in situations that require constant restraint all the way to the end.

this was just one of the cones that made it after i tried so hard at bubble coning and lost about 30 cuts total. my other train wreck didn't stretch this much. honestly i wasnt even planning on running this thing out after i coudnt get any of the other clones to root.( wanted to go big before the move) plus i am in the process of buying my own house and didnt want the burden of this thing growing and having to take care of it while i was moving. it was still really small when i started the flowering. about the normal size when i flip to flower. i guess the larger spectrum of light i am using is making a big difference - i guess its a good thing but not something i was really expecting! :) ill just finish it out and see what she does. gonna go bigger in the new place!
