i need suggestions on cleaning out a INLINE FAN, i got one the other day, and its super filthy,, is it ok to take apart and clean or just clean where my hands could touch only??
If it's really dirty (by that I mean if you think the dirt compensates the fan's performance) and you know what you're doing, then go ahead and take it apart. If you ask me, I would just clean what I can and add some filter material to the fan's intake to prevent it from getting dirty again.
I've never had to clean one but I would try placing a dowel in there, to stop the blades freewheeling, and hit it with a not-messin'-around sized air compressor.
