lights on 24/7 during flowering

Well Shit happens, I added a light to my room then went on a week vacation, turns out the light was on 24/7 for a week. plants were about 2 weeks in when i added the light.

What to expect? (let me guess Hermies)

Thanks for the help

i did the same thing and i got some weird leaf mutations, like all curled up and twisted. but it was later in flower than you. it might not be so bad

edit: i caught a coupe of bananas before i harvested and plucked them but i harvested a week or so later so no seeds ever had time to form

You guessed WRONG! going from 12/12 to 24/0 will not cause hermies. All you did was force them to go back to vegging. Now all you have to do is go back to 12/12, and wait for them to get back to flower mode. If it is at all possible, you can get them to go back to flower faster if you leave them in the dark for 24-36 hrs first then go 12/12.

Hope this helps....and makes you feel better.:D

Thats what I was hoping to hear. Thanks

I wouldn't underestimate the possibility of stress borne nanners. The last thing I'd do right now is give total darkness. IMO, 12/12 from here on out is the way to go.

Yeah Im going to leave them on the schedule they are supposed to be on, and hope for the best while keeping an eye out for nanners. The strain is pre98 bubba (so ive been told) and has hermied on me before.

Here is she is a few grows back

IMVHO the 24-36 hrs of dark is no more stressfull then 12/12.

There are three distinct phases in production of a flower; induction, initiation and developement. I'll spare you the botany of it all, but the extended dark period of 24-36 hrs will shorten the induction stage to just 24-36 hrs and also shorten the initiation phase by at least 50%. It could be back to developement of flowers in little as 3-5 days once into 12/12 (after the extended dark period).

Using 12/12 it will take the plant 1-2 weeks. All times dependent on strain.

Been there, done that. :2cents:

Since it's hermied before, either method you choose, check for nanners at least everyother day!

what happened is the plant started to revert back to veg. whenever you reveg a plant you will see weird leaf twists as a possibility. this can create stress enough to hermie the plant. switching back to 12/12 will cause it to go back into flower but this will ultimately set you back a bit as far as flower time.

Thanks for all your input, maybe Ill go with the 24hr dark period after all. At this point im expecting very little from this grow. It will be the last in this room, I am moving very soon and cant wait to set up my next room!
