throwing away ff

only ferts i've ever used are foxfarm.....don't fuck with their dry shit, just 3 part with liquid karma, and some sili. i'm currently tore between going completely organic, or just throwing organics out the window. i've talked to foxfarm a few times, they say their organic and chemical fertilizers work together, but everything else i've read said chemicals kill the herd? if they kill the herd so fucking bad, why do hydro guys still introduce so much organic shit into their programs. and when they do, must change water every week. i'm not gonna throw the shit away i got, but don't wanna be feeding organic teas, then feed with ff and kill everything. it seems everybody is hardcore one way or the other.

You should probably check into some other ferts since you seem like you want to be 100% organic and FF is not. Why do you want to grow organic anyway?

i'm at a crossroads right now....familiar and comfortable with ff, i know their line well, but have been brewing some tea as of late. just got my hands on a redone waterfarm so i will be running either bc or gh nutes with them, i figure fuck it with the soiless and foxfarm nutes then, and just feed them gh as well? it'd save me a lot of time and put the foxfarm on the shelf. ohh... my mix is: promix, mushroom, perlite, lime.

The only 100% organic anything in their lineup is the Big Bloom. The Grow Big and Tiger Bloom are only organic based (whatever that means). The powders (Open Seasame,Beastie Bloomz, and Cha-Ching) are chemical but if used sparingly and with correct timing work wonders.

If you are wanting to do a 100% organic grow then shove the FF nutes to the side and get some blood and bone meals, jersey greensand, kelp or seaweed algamine, etc.

Don't forget to add 1-2tbs. of powdered dolomite lime per galln of soil, not so much to buffer pH of the living soil (the micro herd will do that for you) but to supplement Calcium and Magnesium.

yeah i'm using one of the teas on that link....maybe i'll have to do a side by side comparison just to use up the ff. i never have enough time to make a super soil, but it looks like it's in my future.

The microherd loves nitrate - doesn't matter if it's derived from an organic source or no - NO3 is NO3.
What do you think happens when you put some nitrate-fertilizer on top of a bale of hay? The composting will speed up a whole lot - this is used by gardeners to heat up the bottom in greenhouses.
