How well do AF's do under (3)42w ww CFL'S?

yes there are fem auto seeds,
they will grow fine under 3 42watt cfls, depending on the space you have to grow them in and how close you keep them to the bulbs.

If you can train them, ala LST, or something similar, you could easily get 8 plants 50 cm overall in there, and I would expect at least 15 grams per plant, IF you've truly got "the hang", as you say.
But you can't just let them go vertical, or your yield will be significantly lower.

Hmm I kinda only have a budcicle crop atm not much space. I think I have pics of it at the beginning of my grow journal in my sig
what size room/box are you working with. how do you have the lights set up? what kind of temperature is the grow area at? IMO, i wouldn't do more than 4-6 plants. you could start with 8 and after the males show.....you may end up with 6 females. we kind of need more info with what you're working with.

I'm running a 30gallon trash holder box with panda paper. Very small footprint. I have about 9 squeezed in there now with a lil room for about four more in 20oz cups. This is all in my grow log in my sig. Temps are always between 75-80F humidity ave 45% (3) 42W CFLs WW hanging in there. I have a 65CFM inline fan with a DIY carbon filter for exhaust. and a 12V pc fan for intake. Diy light trap being used also. FF bloom, filtered water PH usualy 7.0., epsom salt, dash of mollases, with a drop of superthrive and thrive alive red. Does that help at all? Thanks! Oh, pics are in my album. The cab is roughtly 1 1/2ft w 3ft high and 1 1/2 foot L
i don't trust feminized auto flowers seeds but it's up to you.

Based on your other post I'd say your better off just getting ten regular AF's, mainly because their cheaper and you won't have to buy more seeds. For the $50 bucks you spent on that bag you could have bought some Bluestreak or something and wouldn't have to grow those 'Budicles'. IMO that cab your using could double the yield you are getting now in ~ half the time, if you were using some strain of AF. Your days of smoking those hermie bagseed leaves will be over.

Well When it's full, I can fit 16 in there the way things are. I'm still sorting out the males but close to knowing what all I have for sure. Wish I had an extra $50 right now for those lol. Are you saying put fewer plants in it but in bigger pots?
i would buy some wider pots to grow them in too. 20 oz beer cups isn't big enough. i bought some 9" x 6" x 6" square pots and they are working very well. it doesn't matter how many you can fit. that is probably why you have budsicles. the plants are no room to spread their wings.

So are you saying that Dr.buds setup won't work for me? Darn it I thought I was on the right track. I really didn't care if they weren't full grown cuz I was gonna take like 4 at a time out a week. But, If I had the AF seeds, that does sound like a faster grow. I could only fit two 9"X6"x6" in there. Are you saying to put like 4 plants in each pot and just leave them all in their pots till done? I guess they would all be the same age if planted at the same time. Then I would have another 2 pots to go in for a somewhat perpetual grow? Thanks! Any ideas are welcome!
No, you never want to put multiple plants in the same pot, especially AF's because a lot of their growth is determined by root space. If you put four in one pot they would all compete for nutes and that is a very bad thing. With AF's your main concern with pots are going to be height because they tend to grow down more than out. So if you could get some taller pots and you will be able to fit maybe six in that box. I'm not sure on the exact dimensions of that cab your using but you should be able to fit 4-6. Which is going to be about the same number of females you'll get. Be sure to keep your best looking male (put it in a window or something) so you don't have to order more seeds.

So, can you trim them down to two sets of fan leaves and reveg them? I'm guessing I will get enough off of the first batch done like this to last till the next batch is done growing?I wanted to have a variety because after a week of smoking the same thing, the effect is nothing lol damn receptors! You can clone them but they take forever to root and if they do their will be a significant cut in yield. That is if you did manage to clone one. Though since they grow so fast you wouldn't have any real benefits from cloning.
Their would also be no point in re-vegging them if you did manage to do that because they really don't have much of a veg cycle in the first place. Doing that would take much to long and you would lose a lot of bud.
ATM the best way to grow an AF is from seed with only one harvest.
As for the male you can really keep it anywhere since they don't need much attention, use it as a house plant, put it under your bed or sink with a small light, make a smaller cab out of cardboard or something. Just suggestions, the point is as long as they have a small amount of light you should be alright. (even 1 or 2 23w CFL's) All you want off of them is their pollen, but you also don't want that in your grow cab unless you want seeds from all your plants.(one pollinated female is all your going to need to be self sustained on seeds.)

Thanks for all the info!! I think I could find a lil box for a boy lol So you just dust off the pollen and put on a fem and put her back in with the rest of the females? Or would the fan blow the pollen around to the rest of the females? So with this type of grow, all being the same plants and all, wouldn't you have to grow another strain right after to avoid smoking one plant for a week and not getting high off of it? Or does that only happen with bagseed? I'm sooooo sick of paying for bud by the week. And if it's the same stuff it's really a waste of money lol
that's pretty much just low quality weed. If a plant has real potency you'll never get sick of smoking it.
Also you shouldn't have any problems with the pollination i suggest just leaving it in that box for a day or so after you pollinated it then put it back in the original box. Oh I can't see the pics but it's nothing special lol Can the male be kept in a20oz cop then? And when can you evict the vermin? I'm sure lol You say the really good stuff would get you high even if thats all you smoked for 3 months? I think I have been wasting my old lungs on crap for a really long time!!
