Glad you liked it Ingalls... for the pictures they looked tasty already. Most of those aromas and flavours comes from Indian influence as jamaican always gives its touch in flavours and in type of effect but not soo intense and as shown as well in the Nepal Jam. Needless to tell you Ingalls how much they would improve with a good curing due the subtles and delicate aromas. You should try the Hazes as well for playing/listening to music It enhances your audio perception so nicely. Both are great for guitar (I know it well hehe)

Its F2 results should be a nice place to select peculiar individuals Hope you go with them someday to pay msyelf attention to how they do. Maybe Little Man would have right now a more accurate point of view as you have grown not only these Jamaicans but also the Canelas F1

well i didn't plan to make Canela f2's,because i'm very busy with others projects,but finaly i think i will pop the rest of the seeds this summer,so yes little man,the more the better ;o) i will let you know when i start them,

Well the Canela F1 had a distinct rich smell. I hypothezise you bred it with one of the special smelling phenos of the Jamaican BM'85 ? Anyway, the most interesting thing apart from the smell was that it is possible to grow it in one bud, which is very important for small growrooms. We tested also the Jamaican BM this way and it worked well too. I found the ratio calyx to leaf better in the Canela than in the Jamaican BM, same thing for the resin production.

High of the Canela was also very interesting, I found it more powerful, more deep. The basic problem with the jamaican BM 85 for me, is that it shows exceptionnal start in the high but I find the reminding part quite weak because she puts cloud in your mind, eventually making you asleep. Then you try another buzz but is too much and not a good trip. And I found that the Canela had not this differential. High was more immediate and more powerfull, with almost no loss in the high in the second part...When it is finished, it is finished ! Maybe the indica part added this ?

I don't know the second parental line and grew only 3 females of Canela F1 so I'm just trying to guess aspects to keep in the F2 of the Canela. I'd try to keep the smell and try to find special highs in the F2 and then try to stabilize these two. A good idea would be to grow Jamaican BM aside to keep in mind what is mostly due to it and what is mostly due to the north indian side.

I know, everything requires time and rooms. But sure should be interesting. Wish I had as well!

Canela should show not much F1 vigour as both lines had some structural similarities. Nevertheless more attention was paid on the Indian side due peculiar aromas and flowering waves she produced creating lots and lots of calyxes... and those aromas passed to the F1 dominating better

It is still a dream strain of mine to grow. Please make F2s!!! I am a musician by trade (guitar), so what you say makes me even more envious!

I have a carib growing at the moment (same Jamaican genes) and will post a few picks once in flower, and I hope to pop some more modern blue mountain genes in a while.

I find very interesting the strain which is presented here. Its description corresponds to the perfect variety for me. It is sad that it was not maintained. Few of breeders work on the spiritual and improving side that certain strains can brings. I congratulate Ace seeds for that.

I would like to know if it is still possible to find seeds of Canela (inevitably a little old). May be seeds-bank preserve some seeds of the strain which they proposed ?

Or, if Canela is gone forever as it seems to be, what are other recommendations for the *spiritual* herb that just makes you want to lie on your back in a field and look up at the heavens, then throw away all of your possessions and live in a cave. Well, OK that is a bit extreme, but it does make some sense that the Jamaican strains could have originated in India. Is there something more spiritual about those strains?

Happy, euphoric, electric, psychedelic have all been used to describe Ace's fine sativa selections, but is there one that stands out as "spiritual"? Hello Jah? It's me...

We shared most seeds, some friends liked to try if could find interesting things but not news since then. Wasnt easy though, few bananas from time to time decided us not to follow much with it.

Guess few things containing Nepal or India could fit your wishes but hard to see right now one hybrid or one line in particular. Guess Dubi may know bit better some other ACE hybrids to tell his opinion. Hope he fiexes his dsl probs soon

I have had deep spititual experiences smoking north indian sativas and nepalese sativas, they are a great experiences! Spiritual is only a word and each person experiencies or understands 'spirituality' on its own way. Honestly, i like to feel 'spirituality' smoking or not.

Canela was a very interesting F1 sativa hybrid between north indian and jamaican sativas, but sadly the north indian mother was lost and F1 had a few hermie problems. There's some old stock in the 'fridge' for future selections and reproduction, maybe one day but we are very busy right now with other projects. Thanks for bring back Canela to our memories.

just smoke my last canela bud
with a good cure the smell is very impressive,
just love to crack the bud and smell this deep coffee/chocolate fulling the room ..
the smoke is very sweet,creamy,coffee,earthy,some tend to be more spicy
the high is clear,make me dream ,i really like her in the early morning,but particulary when i play guitar,can't stop to play,very inspiring
I hope start the 6 others canela seeds soon,still have my 3 mothers and i can't choose..
very ,very good job Ace seeds,we are far from the typical dutch seeds ;o)
