flushing with house&garden

I just bought the whole line up. running it side by side with a room that uses floranova, both koolblooms, cal-mag and that superdank floralicous plus(8tsp per 40gallon res)

my question is, how much of a flush are people doing with h&g. i hear you can follow the feed chart to the T without issuses, but the feed chart has me using shooting powder and nutes in week 8, it says a 2-3 day flush at the end

I feel like its a stupied question but i've never used this drip clean before, and from what i hear it doesnt allow build up, so maybe a much shorter flush is needed, perhaps 5 days instead of 10-14.

also are people hitting it with some water every now and then? I will prolly anyways but just interested

Also with the drip clean, on this little brochure i got, it says you cant use and oxygen pump with it??

I've been running the H&G line for a little over a year. I think its general consensus that with CoCo a long flush isn't needed. CoCo flushes pretty easily.

I do not use drip clean because I flush with plain water every 2.5 maybe 3.5 weeks. So like 2 maybe 3 times during flower and like once during veg and have never had problems. It is probably important to note that I also handwater so...when I water I water enough to get some good run off and usually that flushes out any excess salts.

And as for a final flush...I just water with 3x the container once and the again 3 days later and then I let the coco dry out more than I would allow when growin and CHOP! its usually a 3 day flush process sometimes 4.

hopefully that helps you out. and hopefully some other chime in as im always looking to learn as well.

H&G says a long flush isn't needed because of the "drip clean" which keeps salts from building up. So they recommend only a 2-3 day flush before the chop. Good luck!

if your using drip clean you could flush for a short time and be happy if your skipping the dc then flush for a week and the buds will be very tasty, i hook my run to waste system up to the house water supply and leave it on to run continually for the last few days..very clean flavor.

I am very curious to see this comparison(especially flavor). I was thinking about using the Nova myself.. Keep us posted on that side by side:woohoo:

The other day I just happened to call the technical support line thats on the feed chart and asked them this very question. They said that, indeed a 2-3 day flush was all that is needed. Drip clean, and all that...

I hope it works.

Yea, Id agree, this was my first coco grow, and I flushed like a soil grow ( 2 weeks ) , and my leaves just look like shit now, next time I wont start flush as early.

a learning game huh !
