Hey artic sun, INH, & sacko!
Yeah, they're a eating nutes already!

I've been having a bit of trouble.

I am here to take my lumps.

These seedlings have had a hard time.
I was a little behind on getting them some fert.
I kept getting air bubbles coming up from the soil for the first few waterings.
Which means dry spots in thew soil.

Today, they're just a couple of days short of 3 weeks old.

I'm not thrilled about the top growth. So, I thought I'd peek at the root growth.

When I popped # 13 out, the roots were only at the bottom and somehow ripped off from the plant when taking it out of the pot.
I tried to repot the remaining plant. And, again lots of air bubbles. So this one had lots of dry spots.
Then, I noticed that the pot was very heavy with water & not draining well.
Seems the holes in the pots were not fully ... holes
(Dry spots AND poor drainage???)
I tried to remedy that & the rest of the plant fell out.

Here's whats left of unlucky # 13

As for the others, I gave them 1/2 strength ferts last time.
Yellowing advanced.
So, this time, I bumped up to full strength.

Oh yeah, BTW, I've been topping this round of seedlings just above the third node...

Eh...I have faith in ya! Ill just respond here to all of em if ya dont mind...Dont have too much time to be on comp today:badday:
Anyhoo...Bad drainage will kill off 'lings. I sure have lost quite a few lill'uns playing with the keg cups...Poke a shit load more holes in there...give em a good flush and top off with a feeding, settle the dirt a lil bit better.
Dunno other than that...Haas your room been running cold around them?
Im sure you'll pull through...:friends::abduct:

They are "weeds"...as long as there is green, yer good;):nanana:

Some of these pots have better drain holes than others.
But, I don't know how this one slipped by this long.
It holds water so well, I can drink fert water from it. :yummy:

Definately going to give them the once over...again

These dry spots are tough.
I've got 'em for sure, this time!
Of course, I thought that last week too!

Not really. It might get down to 72F with lights off.

On all my A51 veggies:

I flushed the small / stunted ones with 30ml/gal H2O2 a few days ago.

After this pic, I took cuts from the healthier ones.
And, "trained" them a bit...:whip:
They're due for a flush ASAP (tomorrow, if not today.)

Hopefully, the smaller ones will be ready to give cuts soon...

Most of the rest of my garden has been flushed over the past week.
The vibe has improved.
I'll be done flushing today, or tomorrow.

:joint:

Wish me luck!

Thanks Phillthy!

After some testing & tweaking, I've switched to RO water.
And, I'm keeping a close eye on pH.

Bottom branches were taken for cloning.
&, I'm spreading the 4 main branches with a little crimping...

Plenty of time to fill out before flipping. :joint:

Especially, now that my water is healthier.
