DISCLAIMER: Yes. I do understand that i could get MUCH more effective results with 500 watts HID. But this is what i have, so its what i have to use.
Alright so heres the scenario.
(Vegging) - I have 500 watts total in CFL Daylight bulbs (approx 32,500 lumen). All are just your average twist-style bulbs.
(Flower) I have the exact same numbers stated above in the 2700k range for flowering.
-Space is unlimited.
-Vent/Exhaust is taken care of
-It will be a SOIL grow (FFOF), can't do dro at the moment.
-I plan on LST'ing, topping and fimming as much as possible.
**Bean Supply**
Nirvana
(10) Ak-48
(10) SuperSkunk
This will be my first CFL grow, and i'de like to do as many as possible.
What you think my max is?

What kind of space are we looking at? Keep in mind that more plants doesn't necessarily = more bud. If you are looking for a growing method that utilizes a high plant count you could probably do all those seeds in a sog, vegging for 7-14 days then flipping them, but again this method is likely more plants but less yield. If you elaborate a little on what else you're working with, I could probably give you some advice...

If it were me with that setup, I would probably try to make the actual flower area no more than 6.5square feet, that way you would be at the 5000 lumen/per sq. foot mark. Then I would consider doing less plants, but grow them bigger in a scrog, while trying to keep an even canopy above the sceen layer within inches of the cfl's:2cents:

Best of luck with whatever technique you choose.

Size is somewhat unlimited.
I say this because the room is very large, i am dedicating the whole room to the grow, and given that i had adequate MH/HPS lighting, i am 100% sure i could easily grow all 20 beans i have..
I will be doing my best to keepin the plants low and bushy via LST, topping and/or fimming. And a SCROG will be incorporated.
As far as elaborating on anything else, i'm not quite sure what to say.
What additional info would you like to know about my setup/etc?

CFL"s wont give you light penetration, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. if you have the cfls already that sort of dictates what kind of grow you can successfully do.

I'd do a SoG, if you have seeds some will probably be male and need to be culled, so you could in theory plant all of your seeds, pull the males, take the remaining females and bloom.

only problem is its going to be 3 weeks to a month before you know if they are male/female, and by that time too big for a SoG cfl grow.

UNLESS you wanna take clones off of those new found mother plants, root the clones then flower a sea of party cups (16 oz solo's) or gatorade bottles underneath a level canopy of cfls... thats your best route in the long run if you want to continuously do this.

There is a thread here that would probably be perfect for a guide on wtf to do with high wattage of screw in cfls and wondering how to grow. I just cannot find it :( Dr. Greengenes or something along those lines is the author.

yield is determined by the the roots of the plant, light avail to the plant, and lastly the physical size of the plant above ground.

roots and light are more important than a gigantic bush up top.

Seedlings will be started out in party cups, and moved in to 3-5 gallon pots.
I will be putting the healthiest looking youngsters in 5ga pots, and any runts in to 3ga pots in order to keep them as close together as possible.
I have the supplies to mount, position, and re-position any of the lights for optimal performance, throughout the grow.

This would all work, just prepared for slower veg growth and possibly longer finishing times with less dense buds. You can still get plenty of very smokeable meds with what you're describing. Just remember, it's going to take ages for a plan under this amount of light to fill a 5ga pot out appropriately... I've seen people with similar cfl setups to this using 1g bags and shorter veg times, as light penetration is an issue...

yeah 3-5 gallon pots under cfl is too big imo... unless you wanna run just one plant on a huge sog or something, but it'll take you a long time to veg it and whatnot, you'd have a higher yield doing single cola tops in 20 oz gatorade bottles as your pots... seriously..

1.buy an hps for enxt time,LUMENS DONT ADD UP..the lumesn just get dispersed over an even space..

2.use coco coir, plants grow faster, bigger, and betetr than soil due to the perfect oxygen level to the roots, plus you cant overwater coco coir, and its WAY superior to soil

3.use 5.5*5.5 sqaure ptos..you can egt them in wormsway.com..
