FOX FARM DOES NOT SUPPORT US!

it all boils down to, if you like it use it if not don't feck with it. there's a lot of products outthere thats being used for what we see fit that companys know about but don't support other than to get your dollar. "swisher" Hoosierdaddy sounds like you have a race problem rather than a gov. problem, the reason i say this is because this country has had its share of problems for many years and to blame it all on one administration is absurd. Obama should have the same chance to make things right as all the others. 8 months in really isn't a fair shake compared to 8 years.

I've already said I'll use the FF dry fertilizers, and will until I find something I like better. I just don't care about this. I usually try to stay away from political stuff, and sorry for going off topic a little, but had to say this.

This is just vintage Obamabot speak. Anyone that does not adore and support der Great Leader clearly MUST be racist. What other reason could there be, because O is SO wonderful, hell Superman wears Obama pajamas, right?

Is there a vomit emoticon?

Reason # 43 not to use FF.

Fungus gnats, hot mixes, quality control issues, different mixes for regional distribution, etc

Go to LC mix and never look back.

Um, they DON'T promote it's use for MJ growing?

Who did they think was paying $25 a bag for it, indoor tomato farmers?

I say fuck 'em, and anybody else who follows suit with 'em.

Sure, maybe they do have reason to yank it from shops associated with MJ, fuck 'em anyways. Let 'em lose some money, then they can take it up with the O-ministers. That's the only way things are gonna change, start fuckin' with the money. This country isn't run by the people anymore, it's run by the dollar, you change where the dollars go, you change policy.

I can get better, cheaper soils and amendments at Home Depot/Lowes than from Fox Farm. Not to mention it's a a rip off at around $20/bag.

This is the sort of stupid shit that floats around in the minds of the less than learned.
First post out of the box, aye asshole? Nice comprehension level.

No, the reason you say such stuff is because you have your head up your ass. (shrug)
Takes all types though....

What's not fair, is having half our country about as ignorant as you are. No wonder we can't get anything done.
Good fuckin grief...

I swear...sometimes I wonder, is it just ignorant parents that caused the mass dumbassedness we have in this nation, or is it in the water?

Hey bigbluntmike- I think it's called "helicopter parents" and "entitlement syndrome". You probably got lots of participation ribbons for coming in 14th place when you were a kid. It's the same people that want universal health care, although they have no way to contribute more than they leech off of actual people who contribute to society.

Fox Farms has great customer service and great products. It's no wonder they want to protect their name despite the varied applications of their products.

Just in case you peps forgot, ill repost the 1st thread for ya.

Fox Farms does not support MMJ!

After selling Fox Farm products for years, a local California dispensary was told they can no longer carry Fox Farm products and to pull all products from the shelves. It turns out that Fox Farm was "unaware" their products were being sold or used in the MMJ community and once they found out a representative from Fox Farm, Allan Flores, sent a letter to this place (which they posted on the wall) stating "Our product can not be sold/resold or distributed for the purpose of cultivating a controlled substance" and forced them to take Fox Farm products off their shelves.

This to me is similar to how I feel about Micheal Phelps.... He could have stood up for himself, but instead he backed down, saying he made a mistake so he wouldn't lose endorsements. On the other hand, you have MMA fighter, Nick Diaz, who refuses to stop smoking, even after being disciplined. The Nevada State Athletic Commission seems confused over MMJ, saying it is performance enhancing because of it's pain relief abilities (saying he has a higher pain threshold) while at the same time being a threat to the fighter because it makes them" lethargic, slows reflexes, and those are dangerous things in a combat sport". So which is it? Sorry, I digress.....

If our community will not be supported by those who we support, I suggest we use companies who stand by our beliefs (Humbolt nutes, Advanced Nutes and I'm sure there are more who support us!) or switch to true organic soil, hydro or aero. This news was initially bad for me, as I use many Fox Farm products (soil, liquid nutes, and sometimes bloom boosters) but this information is making me switch to building my own soil and slowly making me go toward aeroponics.

I remember people talking about boycotting Kelloggs products because they pulled endorsements from Micheal Phelps, I think at the very least we should boycott Fox Farms. That AND we need to let them know WHY their sales will be dropping! Allan Flores is the representative who sent the letter, his contact info is:

Ok back on topic.

I dont know what to think about this cause, one part of me says fuck'em they sellin mmj, and rec growers out.

But then I gotta put the shoe on the other foot. If my boss asked me if i smoked weed, i'd say no without even giving it a second thought.

LOL @ ky jelly:AN

it's true advanced nuterients openly endorses MJ cultivation....and i respect that, knowing their products are tested with marijuana to know that they are doing the best to formulte a Plant based nuterient... I am currently using GH nuterients and I have good success with Lucas Formula-8/16 Micro/Bloom + Floralicious but why do they sell FloraNectar and Florablend if all it does is crap up your res. knowing that your customer will be using hydroponics and using that product with their additives as reccomended by feeding guidelines. I understand you don't work for them anymore but I just send them an email about this exact thing this weekend I am hoping to hear back from them soon....

I bought a gallon of this floranecatar stuff planning to use it all this crop now it seems like i can't use it and i have a 60 dollar galon of panacake syrup??? I dont even know if i should just pour it down the drain. I got an email from AN on my youtube account they were checking out my grow suggested i try their nutes, maybe Ill work something out with them to let ppl know on my vids I use AN nutes and the results are in the video there and hook me up with the nutes for promoting them... Only if they are truely better though. Im talking cannabis cultivation specific becasuse better chelates is one thing but using cannnbis plant formulated nute ratios is another thing.... As this point im curious if there would be a benifit or not... not willing to spend a bunch of money on their nutes either before i know they work that way if I dont like them i can pour them out go back to my GH usual , with no losses. As you know loadin nutes into 55 gallon ressies on the regular isn't cheap....

I have used fox farm stuff before with so-so results I found their nuterients to be inconsistant. Mabye better quality control? Also got root aphids from there soil which made me switch to hydroponics just to rid myself of using any soil, and i would never reccomend anyone use their soil again because of that , once again quality control...

I would like to note that after talking with GH they gladly send me out 2gallons of flora micro/bloom for my troubles... good company that support their customers, will stick with them for a while, just gonna keep it simple with micro/bloom/silica/floralicious

You forgot to mention root aphids....

Lucky, I guess---I never got a visit from the Fox Farms root aphid fairy! Their fungus gnats have set up shop in my space and are quite comfy, they seem to thrive on a steady diet of BTI and Neem. ;-)

I think it comes down to a liability issue. Look, you're in the Emerald Triangle and producing overpriced potting soil with nationwide distribution; it's sold primarily through hydro stores. How many people at FF are going to leave themselves open to being shut down or otherwise punished by the DEA if they make a Cannabis oriented product? Anyone remember Tommy Chong, or the Whizzinator guy?

I fully expect them to distance themselves from our particular brand of cultivation the same way hydro stores and head shops sell 'legal' products for the consumption of 'legal' goods.

Using this for illustrative purposes; how many head shops sell handblown glassware for tobacco? Likewise how many hydro stores are selling thousand dollar systems to grow basil and tomatoes in your basement? Max Yield is another example--come on--we know the mag is produced for weed growers!

Even though I feel that the FF product sucks, I think they are doing the right thing by providing a little breathing room from their customers for common sense reasons. What else would a US based company do: advertise? "Hey, you can grow pounds of pot with our product!!!"

They are just playing by the rules of the game; now we can all argue about how fair the game is; but we must acknowledge that a game is being played nonetheless.

I sent an email to FF the other day saying :-

'Hi, I was wondering which Foxfarm soils and fertilizers would be most suitable for the cultivation of Cannabis sativa?, your recommendations would be very helpful to me, thank-you for your time, yours H.L'.

I got this back today :-

'Hello ****

Unfortunately for you we will not be able to give advice on growing the plant you have mentioned. As a company we must protect ourselves and our employees, we are not protected by the federal government to answer these questions in any regard.

Aside from the issue, I would like to thank you for your interest in FoxFarm.

"The plant you have mentioned" what is THAT about?
And presumably she wants me to be 'interested' enough to buy some?
