Hello,
Is A 400 Watt MH To Small Or Big For A 4x4x6.5 Grow Tent? Any Suggestions Would Be Great!
After This Learning Grow, I'll Be Growing 4 Plants So I Was Hoping The 400 Watt Was Big Enough. I Also Have A Few CFIs To Go Along With.
Thank You All

Well optimally you would be using a 600W in such a growtent but a 400W will do fine too - just don't expect to have much light in the corners, and concentrate on getting a yield on the center m2.
You'll do fine:)

Another 400 Watt

Another 400 Watt

400 is better suited to a 2x3. 4x4 is approaching 1K territory.

Hello,
Would Getting Another 400 Watt Outfit Be Worth It? I'm Experiencing Heat Problems With One 400. I Sorta Have The Heat Under Control For The Rez By Using Allot Of Frozen Bottles (65-75 F). The Tent Heat Is A Little Harder I've Got Fans Blowing 24-7 (80-90 F). I Know I Need 1 Or 2 6" Intake &/Or Exhaust Fans.

Thank You FB!

Too subjective. It would double your yield at least. Is that a good thing? Maybe, maybe not. How do you feel about having a kilo or more lying around the house with more on the way?

and 2nd 400w won't solve your problem....if theres heat issues already -- you mentioned a 6" intake or outtake -- do you mean an inline fan ?? like a vortex or whatnot ??

these will either remove or add ( depending on how you set it up ) a lot of air.....most likely enough to help your heat issues.

PS....frozen bottles work, but are considered a "band-aid" -- lets work on rectifying the problem, not just adding another element to the equation.

if you are NOT growing real tall, leaky sativa's, then your height will be OK --

Myself I would look at better use of what you have before adding more heat to the mix. Seems that an area your size should be served well with a 400, if you have a decent reflective device to concentrate your light effectively. By adding more, you will be adding more light, but you will also be adding more heat to the mix. With fall and winter around the corner you might be able to have it work with little impact, but really you should be looking to gain control over your environment now before looking to increase your problems with additional lights.

Get the basics under control, then look at a 600 down the road if you really like. A 600 would give you more heat to remove, and the potential for higher yields, but it would also require you to have your environment nailed as to prevent any and all potential issues well in advance.

Good luck with what you go with. In the long run you will find out what works best, just takes a little hit and miss at first. :)
