yes im hoping it will be ok when i get back..the plant had around 30 shoots when i left and the tub was heavy so i guess it has some moisture..basicly can it go a week is the question...being that plants outside can without rain for a week i guess

I'd think at least a week. I've got an 18 gal tub with 12 gal of nutes and it's good for over 3 weeks (family gotta love em). Top off the tank and hang the lamp high.

how often are you watering now...every 4-5 days? if its like 2-3 then i say you might have some a sad looking plant when you get back. good luck

A plant that's spread through the entire medium needs watering at least every 2-3 days. Day 3/4 can look pretty bad. Day 7 could mean certain death. Now if it's only used 50-70% of the medium, it has a good amount of moisture to leach from un-used parts of the soil. That might give you a couple days, leaving you at around 5/6ish. You might be able to make it a week, if you're lucky. I wouldn't do it, but it can be done.

I had some girls in five gallons, they hadn't been in long from their 3g but apparently they'd spread all the way through the medium because if I didn't water them every other day they would be looking like wet rag on a stick.

lol damn excal, what are you thinking!? you are cuttin it soooo close man...

i have a 5 month old ICE plant in a 10 gallon nursery container and i have to water twice a week. i went 5 days before watering at one point and my plants branches were almost horizontal. another day and it would be dead im sure.

in your case, there is some more info we need in order to know how fucked you are lol...

did you water thoroughly right before you left?
how old is your plant/ how long ago did you transplant?
whats in your soil?

that last question is especially important because a heavier mix of perlite will dry your soil out quicker than if you had less perlite and more peat moss or other such soil amendments.

well the soil has a little perilite because ive been reusing my soil for over a year plus..not soggy or anything just good moist soilthat looks good never had a problem reusing..i just hope them roots just wanna search out moisture..but on a good note i will be able to check on my baby in a couple of hours and i will give a update..i know i watered it well and tub was heavy has shit when i left..i guess it better act like its in the wild do what it needs to do to survive..its only under 1 400 hps l turned off the mh to cut down on heat and raised the light so fingers are crossed

In the wild... if it doesn't get any water, it dies. But the ruderalis growing in the wild can stand quite a bit of abuse, but that's genetics. These indoor bred genetics are fragile to environmental abuse.

Either way, I hope you the best of luck. I'm sure you'll be fine if you've gone a week w/o before.
