Hey there! I'm BudGood, some of you I know, some of you, I am meeting for the very first time... (A cookie to whoever got the Austin Powers reference)
I'm a medical patient/grower/caregiver here in good ol' Colorado, USA!
Here is the specs of my rooms:
Lighting is 3-600w core and coil HPS, flip flopping between 2 rooms. The soil room is about 5'x8', with about a 3.5'x8 grow canopy. I have 21-3 gallon buckets with amended reused FFOF soil, holding 13-unknown sativa Blueberries from a fellow patient and electrician, and 8-AK47's (an old cut, been around for years), the buckets are sitting in a cheapo 2x4 frame with pond liner covering it, right on the floor. There are Bio-Bucket's are in the other room, it is also 5'x8', with a 4'x8' grow canopy (it's tight in there, especially in late flowering!).
The soil room is CO2 enriched with a air-cooled CO2 generator, and has 6" air cooled reflectors, each reflector getting cool air from a custom plenum made from aluminized foamboard and aluminum tape (thanks for the idea hoosierdaddy!), and exhausting through a similar plenum. I built a trellis system out of 1" PVC, with 3/4" legs. I have to find the post that inspired it, and I will link it. I used trellis netting with 7" holes, didn't like it, so I doubled it over, and made each hole 3.5x3.5 instead. This room has a LG 65pt dehumidifier, and a LG 8000 btu a/c mounted in the wall, with a Control Wizard temp/humidity controller handling it all. A separate exhaust fan turns on if the room gets too hot. A cyclestat controls the CO2, turning on every hour for a minute and a half (my generator only needs to be on for a little over a minute based on my room size). The bulbs in this room are Osram Plantastars, they have great spectrum, the first bulb built from the ground up for horticulture.
The Bio-Bucket room is run with continuous exhaust, which feeds the air going into the air-cooled hoods in the other room. There is a 6" carbon filter catching all the stinky. I have a modded Stanley blower pulling cool air into the room, with a filter on the intake, which pulls from the lung/res room. The Bio-Bucket room has 10 AK-47's, I've run it in the buckets before, and it did well. This run I upgraded the pump to a Dolphin Amp-Master, this pump is 3 times as strong as my old pump (Quiet One), uses 1/3 of the energy, and has zero temp transfer to the nute solution! Worth every penny. I created my own "tomato cages" out of PVC and string, and hot glued them to the lids. The lids are also a new addition, they are the one piece 5 gallon bucket lid and netpot (6"). I also hung some cheap Walmart Massey fans near each bulb to cool them off, works like a charm! The bulbs in here are Agromax reflectorized, basically a knock-off of Gavita lamps, they work just as well as the expensive brand name Gavitas. I have 2 Gavita Dew-Guards, after next harvest I'll get another, for now I have an old Super Sun reflector holding one bulb, it works, but the Dew Guards have much better adjustability. Someone said these same bulbs are going for 50 bucks on Ebay, worth every penny!
Nutrients are Dutchmaster Gold for the hydro, with their Liquid Light/Penetrator combo, and their Max flowering additive. Once ADD27 comes out, I'll use it instead of the Max. For soil, I'm using Age Old Organics, using the LL/Penetrator also, and Liquid Karma. I have a few other things, like enzyme products (Zyme by AN and Cannazyme), B52, and a few others that I use once in a blue moon.
Well, enough of that. Heres some pics!
This is the soil room:
Entrance to the soil room:
Another view, you can see the green CO2 gen, and the white Control Wizard on the far left:
This is the dehumidifier, it sits in a little cubby out of the way, up high:
Here's the plants, the sativa blueberry is on the left, the AK on the right:
A view from inside the room, looking towards the door area:
Here is the lung/res room:
Here is the waterfall with the cooling/oxygenation fan, no chiller needed here!
Here is the entrance to the Bio-Bucket room, to the right of the res/lung room:
A few pics of the plants and the modular support system I created:
In this one you can see the Massey fans I hung up to cool the lights:
And a pic of the roots, 7 days into flowering:
The pics from the soil room are from the 26th, the hydro are from the 28th. Thanks to my brother for bringing his camera by, 8MP is much better than my 2! You'll all see the difference when I post some pics from my cam.
Anyhow, thanks for stoppin' by!
