Ok so here is my deal I grow in a soil bed with FFOF and nothing else mixed in. My last grow I started adding nutes at day 10 of flower (lucas formula with RO water) everthing came out great but seemed to be a bit over nuted to me. So this round I am in my 14th day of flower and have added NO nutes just watered with RO water and they look GREAT. I am running C99 cutting down at 50 days. I know you can grow peppers, tomatoes etc. using only FFOF soil all summer long with NO nutes so I am thinking I can do it with weed. I think Im gonna let it go this round and only add nutes if I see any problems occur. Anyone have any thoughts on this........I think it will work:woohoo:

mmmh you could pull it off if its a 7 or 8 weeker...but usually after 4,5 or 6 weeks you'll have to feed them...but now i'm talking bout a royaly mix, all-mix...but i think its the same as ffof

I've never heard of no-nutes for FFOF but I have heard about mixing all three of the fox farm soils and getting away with no nutes. I was looking for the thread where that was discussed cant seem to find it in my bookmarks.

I have seen people grow tons of huge pepper and tomatoes that went all summer just off of FFOF and water. I really do not see any reason why Cannabis needs any more nutes then peppers or tomatoes. I am gonna let this one ride out and see what happens. Cause the plant is not really using up many nutes until it enters the 2nd week of flowering. (Mind you I am growing from clone flowering at 10") I always see this discussed but no one ever tries it from what I can find. So this round Im letting mine go, only gonna add nutes if I start to see some major problems occur. Talk about making life a bit eaiser!! Any input is welcome.

you got it right .....just start feeding when they start to show signs that they are hungry....
I've done it before....makes life easyer....just don't start seed or clones in it
just ask GMT for some tips.. ...he's one of the lazy bastards around here ...lol :D

I always start all my seeds and clones in FFOF and never ever have had any problems.

Ellie: I don't feel there is any reason to have to mix up the 3 bags, that is the point I am making I think you can run FFOF by itself from start to finish....

FFOF on all clones,

I use rootone powder

use a pen to make a hole in the middle of a red beer cup, dip the cut stem in the powder, toss in the hole in the cup, toss some water and its done.

FFOF is possible to have no nutes if you have the proper sized pots. If you keep transplanting, you get more nutes from the ffof. If you have small pots you odds are won't go all through flower without needing nutes.

I would transplant into a larger pot when you see sign of them getting hungry BUT easier to just FEED THEM when needed to save on hassle.

i use just FFOF but when i transplant i mix some of the peace of mind fruit and flower into the soil. works fine for me

The bed is the key to prolonged nutrient availability. The roots can grow freely and find un-used nutes. This won't work in small pots with just FFOF unless you did zero veg on a rooted clone, and even then you'd most likely need a few shots of bloom nutes.

iam finishing up a plant i started in mid june outdoors right now with only using FFOF and its working fine nice and full of buds covered in crystals
but i bet i could be better with added nutes but you dont HAVE to have them to do a whole grow in them it just wont be as good as it could be

Strain and pheno will factor into this, as well as how long they were vegged and how much fresh soil they have going into bloom.

At one point in time, using FFOF, I used to flower cuttings in 2gal pots as soon as they were rooted w/o using nutes. Never had a problem.

The worst that can happen is that they start to get hungry. No big deal, as they can be fed.

Having the bed is definately an advantage.

Basically, yeah they could make it.. wouldn't be healthy plants Ill tell you that.

Secondly.. I always use nutrients besides ones in soil that break down over time because it shows really fast results and gets you a bigger yield.

Remember
to grow organically for A+ Medical Quality Cannabis.
